Not 100% for sure which car I'll be in yet. At this point the Cougar is nowhere near completed, so unless the painter pulls off another miracle this year then I'll be Cougar-less. Money is also tight, so if the Cougar doesn't go, I might not either.

Lisa is driving seperate so you're welcome to take her truck down and ride back with me (since I'll be going solo on the way back) if transportation is a problem. As for cash there are more than a few people willing to split a room with you.
No more of this "not going" crap, it's pishposh. Plus I'll kick you out of my house if you don't go.

Well, I just got back from the bank and they found my missing $3000 -- so money isn't as major of an issue as it was 30 mins ago. Unfortunately I might still end up drivin the Neon down, since its up in the air if the Coug will be done or not. (The painter swears up and down it'll be ready, but even once he gets it done I need to get it checked out since it was steaming w/o overheating last time I drove it.)
And to top it all off the Talon still isn't done. Of the axles I got in one of them was the total wrong part (misboxed). Now the mechanic is going on vacation while we're at CF, so the damn car won't be getting painted like it was suppost to be while we're gone. And when I get back I will STILL be renting a damn car. Bleh.
So yeah, we'll see how it works out. Monday will be the ultimate decider. If the painter needs more time, I'll be coming later. If he gets it done and the Coug is screwed, I'm spending my vacation getting it fixed so I can drive at least one of my cars. It's still in the air...

My car won't work on a trailer like Brad's was on, mine requires a flatbed, which would cost upwards of $400 to get the car there and back. So that's not an option...
We'll just have to see. I won't see the car until Sunday now, and basically just have to hope to god that its done, and done w/o the paint reacting this time.

Either you come willingly, or you have 8 angry cougars showing up on your doorstep, and we throw you in the trunk of whomever has the most trunk space ;) heheh!

Painter just called again to reassure me that I would be taking the Cougar to fest. He's going to be living at the shop this weekend, but he swears it'll be done. My only concern is that he'll rush it (last we did last year) and I'll end up with "sorta" what I wanted. Bleh. We'll see...

Kept saying 2 days, then tomorrow, then the day after, then this afternoon, then tonight...
He's told me to come down at 5:30 and they will be done before I leave... heh! talk about last minute isht! 183 shirts... recieved almost 12 hours before I wakeup to leave the house.
Maybe its us John... companies like to make us worry. :cover:

Yup, this is typical with project cars, and I know this. However this time its even worse than last year since I have THREE cars in progress now. :P Every single one of them has a setback right now that has pushed me beyond the "buffer zone" that I provided myself. The Cougar will be the same, I'm going out to buy more stainless screws, weather stripping, CF cloth, new hoodpins, etc. Bleh, its gonna be a crazy weekend, that's for SURE!
Oh yeah, and my kids want me to pick them up since my sister, her husband, and their kids are in from Cali before my brother-in-law goes back to Iraq. So I'll have my hands full, that's for damn sure. Good thing I don't have to do laundry before fest (what with getting half of a new waredrobe while we're there, lol!)

My painter just informed me he doesn't think the airbrushing is going to get done for fest. =( So I might be going this year with a stock color, which pisses me off. If I would have known this I would have left the car the Lambo Blue for fest, and painted it afterwards.

Stock color = boring = not my style.
I didn't pay upwards of $3000 in paint to see my car go to fest one color. I'm still damn bummed about the whole thing, and I'm contemplating taking the Neon so at least I can be comfortable while driving.

The painter says it looks better like this than it did in blue, but I'll have to be the judge of that tomorrow.
Once I get back from fest I the car will be dropped back off to redo all of the airbrush work. That'll give him time to do it nice and slow, and put all of the details back in. I'll take it back out for a short time and play, then it can go back up and get motor/tranny installed over winter...

1) Wooo hooo! it's goin down Tommorow mornin! The Canucks will be getting to B-rad's probably around 11:20 - 11:30 timeframe since I have to hit the bank before I can leave and it's not open till 10:00. Call Ram's Horn around 10:30 to tell them to put tables together for us.
2) Lisa... I'm yelling at you. GGRrrrrrrrr..... I tell ya, you can't spell my name and I even gave you a forward advance on my flashers and I'm getting you a filter tommorow.... no respect..... :)

Wheeeeee... My Cougar made it to Brad's house! :D
I now have no choice but to take it, since I left the Neon in Jackson. ;) But I was having a bit of studdering problems, so I need to AutoTap it this week and maybe even take it into a shop. I also should get it tuned up, since it sat all winter, but I just ran completely outta time. (Brad just now dropped me off, and its 10pm -- I left my house this morning at 7:30am.) :O That's earlier than I get up for work. :P
Oh yeah, CAN'T WAIT TIL TOMORROW! :D See ya'll in the morn!
