Hi guys.. so heres the issue. We were finishing cutting the injector vallies, when the dremel skipped up out of the hole and skimmed along the top of the head. This happened several times.. however they're not deep at all. Can they be filled with silicon.. or will they not cause a vacuum leak? I hope not:disgust:

the rubber gaskets for the LIM should seal it up fine. Just be careful. Use some good tape to protect the surface.

If its bad enough just use some jb weld or maybe silicon. As long as it can take the heat. Good luck

Depending on depth just use some gasket sealant and you will be ok. No if this happened to the bottom of the head where the head gasket goes they heads are toast because there is no room to plane it out. You should be fine.

hehe, well the heads didn't come off the engine so thats untouched. The engine has 7k on it, we just didn't want to get new head gaskets. Compressed air = no shavings near the valves
Thanks for your advice kinger.

I resurfaced the LIM mounting surface on my heads with a buffing pad ... worked nicely.
