I have taken out of my 1995 Mystique the BAT Euro Suspension kit (1995-2000 model years) Springs and struts & MSDS ceramic coated Y-pipe. Approximately 3,000 miles on both. I believe these parts will fit on Cougars.

AEM Short Ram System (SRS) All AEM air induction systems are C.A.R.B. exempt or pending exemption (50 state legal).
Fits all 95-02 2.5L Duratec V6 Contours/Cougars, including SVT. Includes cleaning kit.
$100 plus shipping

Buyer pays for shipping.

The parts are being pulled today I won't have any pics until this weekend.

My mechanic told me that the Y-pipe and BAT Euro kit will fit on the Cougars. I'll call BAT to make sure, answer tomorrow am.

$400 for the BAT Euro kit, includes struts and springs. Buyer pays shipping.

I can't remember if I have a two bolt or three bolt flange on the Y-pipe. Again answer in the am. Below is some text from the MSDS website regarding the Y-pipe.

Asking $65 for the y-pipe. Buyer pays shipping.

"MSDS is now producing a High Flow Y-pipe for the '95 and up Ford Contour, Mercury Mystique, and '99 and up Cougar with the 2.5 litre Duratec V6 engine. The Y-pipe is made from twin 2" mandrel bent tubes, has a welded support bracket, and mates to the oe catalytic converter. These are ceramic coated (1,500f).

The 3 bolt converter flange is usually on all automatics. Most vehicles produced after Nov. '99 came with the 3 bolt style, and is most noticeable by the large flex connector just past the first flange. 2 bolt styles used a donut gasket without the flex joint."

As for references I only have my mechanic and my word. I'm not in the business of selling car parts. I can speak to you on the phone and you can make your decision based on our conversation. My mechanic is Robert at Low Budget Racing in San Pablo, CA. He is an active member of CEG (Contour Enthusiats Group) and well respected.

Yes, is the kit springs and struts? Also, not sure if they will work on cougars, according to what I have see on Bat Euro Suspension the Cougar and Contour have a different letter on the end of the part number, just wonder what the difference might be? If you could find out for us that would be great.

OK Scrupulos you got dibs on the Y-pipe. Not sure what you need by final word on the fit. The manufacturer says it will fit, as long as we both have the same flange.

The BAT euro suspension kit is the same for Cougars as it is for contours. I spoke to BAT just a few minutes ago.

I'm going to help you out here sundaydriver33. If you go on the MSDS website you can see that the headers and y-pipe are all the same for the Ford Contour - Mercury Mystique - Mercury Cougar. All you have to do is post to tell us here is if its a two or three bolt.

So scrupul0us, theres the confirm for you....

The BAT kit is sold.

The Y-pipe is a two bolt flange. I'll have pics and parts in hand at 3:00 PST.

To the best of my recollection O2 bungs are only on the header not the y-pipe. There are no O2 bungs on the Y-pipe.

Scruppy are you a two nut or three nut guy?
Mond12345 has dibs if you got three.
