I'd prefer to keep those pieces together... because it would be pretty hard for me to sell the whole assembly with that piece missing ;)

But, what I suggest you do is go to a local craft or hardware store, and buy a wooden dowel that is the same diameter, and then cut it to the correct length. Problem solved for $1.98 :)

Bic Pens are also the same diameter... they're not as long, but if you were cutting your shifter down anyway, that might suit your needs.

how easy is it to take the tanny internals out of the old and put in the new? im just wondering because i broke the ears off mine for the mount so the tranny is help up by 1 and a half bolts. not too safe so i might be interesed if its easy.

I haven't personally done it, so I'm not positive... but I've heard that it is not something you would want to do if you haven't had any experience doing that sort of thing before.

With the internals of something as vital as the transmission, I tend to defer to the expertise of local professionals.

But when I was searching around, I was quoted $250 for swapping the case and installing a Torsen into my transmission. So you might be able to find a better deal in your area?

for the ATX shift knob, when you remove the stock do you have to make a new button for overdrive or how does that work?

also how do you take off the stock shift knob?

There aren't many more angles you can take pictures of this thing, since it is symmetrical, but here's a view from the "top"

It depends on when I receive payment.

At the latest, assuming I had money in hand by this week, stuff could ship by Saturday. If you need it quicker, and can get me the money quicker, I can rearrange my schedule to ship on Wednesday morning.

To take it off, you have to lift up the shifter surround piece. Reach in there and disconnect the two wires coming out of the stock shift knob. Then pull straight up on the knob.

Then, to install an aftermarket one like this, you'd have to rewire the overdrive button to work somewhere else.
