I was hoping someone could either post some pics of their stereo wiring coming from the batter into the int or point me to some that are already posted. I'm about a week away from installing my stereo and I wanted to get some ideas on where to cut a hole or whatever. This is going to be for the power wire coming into the int for the amps that I'm going to put in the trunk. Thanks in advance for any help.

First a question, MTX or ATX. If you have an ATX there is a hole in the firewall where the clutch pedal would go, it's plugged with a piece of plastic pull the plug drill and your good to go. If you have an MTX you need to pull the cruise module out and find the rather large rubber grommet in there and run your wire through that. Its a pretty extensive task so be prepared to get creative in what you use to pull your cable through.

If you run 0 you'll have to drill

Oh thank god there's someone sensible without an inferiority complex.. hehehe... NO ONE and I mean NO ONE needs any larger power wire than 4 gage unless you're competing for like world champion 50000 watt class!

0 gage is just STUPID INSANE. Even 2 gage is overkill for 99% of people.

I run 4 from the battery to the trunk, then split it off into smaller wires from there to do different things. 4 is what I had and yeah anything over that is retarded. 8 would prolly work just as well, but I didn't have a piece long enough to reach. Heck a lot of aviation wires are like 22g, and they do a lot more than what a amp does... so yeah over kill... My HU should be in friday so sat night I'll be stickin her in. Along with my new cabin air filter cause the other is SICK and has NEVER been replaced from the look and SMELL of it. I even washed it with soap, degreaser and stuff and it is YACK. Pulls the air down WAY too much.
