What ever happened to spell check? Can we get it back? It seemed to have not made the transition from fastcougar.

IIRC, there was a conversation about spellcheck when the forum moved... and sounded like there was an add-on for your browser

heres a quote from the thread I was thinking of
You must have "basic editor" selected in your profile options.
User CP > Edit Options > Miscellaneous Options > Message Editor Interface
Change from: "Basic Editor - A simple text box"
Change to: "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls"
EDIT... IDK, I've just tried all 3 settings, and don't get the spell check option cougar4life has in the screenshot. maybe because I don;t use IE?

Just ban the people who cannot spell correctly. Problem solved.

Not like they're likely to use spell check anyhow, even if it were available and blatently noticeable...

Spellchecker is a plugin that comes default with the IE browser
There is a plugin for firefox that can be found here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1022/
or for the lazy:
Install this: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/w32/Aspell-0-50-3-3-Setup.exe (aspell program)
Install this: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/w32/Aspell-en-0.50-2-3.exe (aspell dictionary)
Install this: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/extensions/aspellfox/aspellfox-0.8.1-fx.xpi (aspell plugin)
Restart FireFox
Once installed when you right click on any form at the bottom "AspellFox" is an option and it will check your form

Unfortunately, while it works in the standard vBulletin editor, it does not work in the WYSIWYG vBulletin editor, which sucks if you use vB a lot.
oh well
