Question for everyone: If I was going to plunk down around 600 bucks on mods for Autocross, which of these would create the faster Autocross Cougar?
1. Cougar with headers
2. Eibach springs and new struts
3. Nothing and racing tires(of course I can't enjoy these off the track).
4. Reduced weight flywheel.
So who would win on an Autocross course?

Well after the driver is perfected,
1. Headers, not unless your going into Street Mod, or a prepared class, then you better be ready dish out some $$, and still get your A$$ handed to ya.
2. Struts and springs, good choice. Coupled with a good tire will make a nice difference.(change the struts you can still stay in stock, change the springs you are in prepared or Street Touring)
3.Tires are going to make the biggest competitive difference
although tires shouldn't go without Springs.
4. Flywheel. Not worth it, the Cougar powerband/torqueband(term?) is almost perfect for autocrossing.
You'll notice that struts and tires for me seem to go together.
First evaluate where you want to be,
G Stock: your limited to Struts and Tires
Street Touring: Tires(street Compound), springs, Struts.
Street Touring R: Tires (racing compound), Springs and Struts.
Street Mod, Headers, Flywheel, Springs and Struts, tires
Then See who you'll be competing against:
G-Stock, Integra Type R, Audi TT's, Accord V6s, and others.
Street Touring: Pretty much anything with 4 seats
STR: 4 seats and R compound Rubber.
Street Mod: again 4 seats, gutted interiors, modded engines.
I'm currently torn between GS and STR,
I want to get new tires in the next couple weeks for autocross specific.
I've been told that upgrading to sticky tires with a loose suspension which for all intents, our cars have. could cause troubles.. but I'll know for sure.. i/expressions/smile.gif
Eric not to get off of my own topic, but isn't the Integra R in a different class now with the rule changes? (GS)

AS far as I can tell the ITR is still in it until 2002..
