Hey guys...I'm Evee. I just got a 1999 M. Cougar I4. He's white and his name is Thomas

I'm down in Miami, Florida. Just checking out the site and decided to join. From the research I've tried to do, I've noticed this particular car doesn't have much of an after-market (so I thought). So I figured I'd be better off getting my answers here on a forum...instead of trying to google everything :)

Anyways..If I broke any rules...umm...sorry and lemme know? Lol. But yea..that about sums it up.

There is one . . . you don't have one of my patented witty/dirty quotes in your signature yet. ;)

The BBOXism's do tend to make it into quite a few peoples signatures

Is there anyone else from Miami? Just curious. It would be nice to have someone familiar with the cougar in the same vicinity.

I would go down to the Chapter listings and look around in the Florida NECO and see who you can find

Is he a CPA?

You've made no major spelling, grammatical, or typographical errors. And you didn't talk like a lazy 13 year old, using "u" etc. So...

Welcome! Glad to have you here!

Hey! We have plenty of aftermarket! Just no clear taillights...

Have a look around www.cougardb.com and see the aftermarket at work...

Welcome to the forums! Believe it or not, the aftermarket for the Cougar actually isn't that bad. Most of the aftermarket is actually because of fellow Cougar owners who saw something they wanted, so they made it themselves and sell it to other NECO'ers.

For the I4 engine, check out the 2.0 ZETEC section. I believe various mods from the Focus will work on the Cougar, but I'm not the right person to ask about the I4 engine since both of my Cougar's have been V6 versions.

Welcome, hope you stick around!

Thanks for the great welcome guys. I haven't really done anything to the cougar. I'm trying to catch up on some literature before stepping into anything mechanical. I'd probably break things instead of installing things. Right now I fit the "girls don't know anything about cars" stereotype. I'm familiar with the terms, parts, ect. but I've never really seen anything done. Atleast not to a cougar. I already read the huge turbo faq thread lol. Other than that, I've been looking for some nicer wheels. But nonetheless, thanks for having me. And hopefully I can lose the newb title :)

pft, you and I both. I "fixed" a malfunctioning trunk latch the other day. Now the trunk lid won't open

Anyway, welcome to the forums.

LOL go east on the 8 until you see the ocean!

No, whenever I went over a bump my trunk latch would come lose and the car would start dinging so I thought I would fix it. This is why I always take my car in to get it fixed, I have "the touch" with cars.
