The Cell Block is a cool bar in town

Dance club upstairs, rock bands downstairs in the Gallows. If you aren't 21 yet, you can go on Thursday nights...it's 18 to come, 21 to swallow night

Williamsport is about an hour and a half away from me as well. Let me know if you ever come up to Penn State!

Willy isnt that bad of town... kinda boring unless your 21+ and the crime rate isnt that bad so long as you dont piss people off and you know where not to be after dark (I've never had a problem walking around downtown and stuff)... dont let all the shooting stories scare ya although there have been more and more lately. Penn Tech is really a nice (and mostly new) school if you get in the right major... (my major they messed me over and thats awhole other story) so needless to say i no longer attend there but still is a nice place. Housing is kinda pricey but you'll get that in any college town(city) and the on campus housing is extremely nice compared to oh sayyy lycoming college which is a ton more per semester go figure... Let me know what happens and if you end up comming down here

The placement tests were not too bad (incase you were wondering) The thing I never studied for was fractions for the math part... just make sure to study up on them that way you don't have to take an extra math class lol.

I lived there for a summer back in 92 while I was a junior in college. Not much really going on back then. There are some local "hood" parts, but mostly I feel it is a pretty country town. You can usually find a gun bash, someone to shoot pool, and some laid back bars such as: the bear, the bull, and a more club type of bar that used to be called shadows, but then was america, but I am not sure what it is now but it was at the holliday inn. My brother still lives up there and I try to go up there once or twice a year. I guess it is a little better when the colleges are in, but in my opinion, if you want to get drunk and relax it is ok and pretty cheap, but you should know about fishing, hunting, and don't be afraid of the occassional knuckle buster. PM me if you have any questions and if I don't know the answer I can give my brother a call.
