Volts you can run to the battery or tap off a 12 volt source.

A/F is easy. If you search you can find out what pin it is, but basically you tap of the ECU line of the O2 sensors.

Nice choice with AutoMeter, its the only way to go. I myself have the AutoMeter C2 series which match my reverse glow and windows buttons.

yea the c2's are a lil pricey... i got these off another member last year for a reasonable price for the pair.. ill look around for the pin out to tap

air fuel: ecu pin 35 or 87 take your pick. most use 87

voltage gauge i like to use the cig lighter/port. its grounded well and it has a strong signal.

I used 87, so you take the huge ECU cable end off the ECU which is located under the P/S reservoir. Look at the little numbers for 87. Than take that wire and cut it, than solder the three together....

I cant believe you asked how to tap a wire man, you do all those LEDs mods and how-tos for them.....

to be honest I had no idea where the ECU was or how it was wired, never had concern for that for me car... i know how to tap a wire, but dependin on how the ECU was connected to the harness IDK what was advisable... it never hurts to ask man... ty for the info!

Ok no problem, just sounded a little weird to me when you asked about the wiring. It is very easy to do, don't worry.

Hello,

Besides of volt and A/F gauges. What more gauges can we install in the Cougar? Water temp, oil temp. etc? and how to install them?

Thanks!

You can install anything you want. For water temp you would have to tee of a coolant line. Oil Temp i really don't know where you would go, iv seen on the Contour forums then they relocate the oil filter they use the port on that for temp.
