Update: Took the car out on Saturday and while driving very bad noises started coming from the engine. I think I threw a rod, spun a bearing, all of the above. Basically coasted it into a gas station, tried to start it back up after cooling down. Clank Clank Clank shut it off. I'm considering the engine block and all rotating parts a total loss. I am willing to sell the car the way it is which is perfect except for the engine. $9,000 must be towed or trailored. For someone who has an engine or is willing to take the problem as it is, here is your chance to own a very perfect car. Car will come with stock XR wheels.

2002 Cougar XR 2.5 V6
5 speed
29,500 miles
Black with Black/Red Leather interior
Sunroof
6 disk changer

Only performance mods are a customized stock airbox with a K&N filter and a custom made dual exhaust with resonator and twin mufflers.

Exterior mods: visteon lip, razzi sides, razzi rears, shaved rear trunk with no emblems, hatch was a complete repaint (only done to the best quality), Wings West grill, smoked sidemarkers, tail light covers, 30% tint,

Wheels: 18” Axis Spyder wheels w/ lug locks

Suspension: Intrax springs

Car is absolutely unmolested and pampered, Not seen snow or rain in over 2 ½ years when converted. Used as Sunday car last 2 years. Pictures will speak for themselves. Have too many toys and am looking for a new one, whoever does buy this car is buying what is possibly one of the cleanest cars you will find. Nobody I can imagine takes care of their stuff as well as I do. Always garaged. This car can last you a very long time if you use it the way that I did. Would prefer a person that I feel will take care of this car and wouldn’t sell it at 12 to someone who I felt would just destroy it. Can be seen in Central Mass. Will help with delivery anyway I can but will not pay a dime to do so. Any questions I left out, just ask.

Guys I deleted your replys because they were not actually questions or helping him sell the car. You guys are more than welcome to send him comments via PM though. Keep this thread clean.

29,500 miles? you must be a sunday driver ;) what is the reason you are selling cause my brother is looking to buy a cougar and i'm trying to find him a nice one

I don't really need to sell it but I would like to move onto something else. (antique or classic) I also have a mint 01 Suzuki TL1000R in as good of shape, also a new 05 F-150 and a 1994 very rare Mercury Capri. I would like to sell it to make room and because for the care and attention I give it, it just doesn't get driven much. The first 23,000 miles were from being my regular car for 2 years. In the past 2 1/2 years I only put 7,000 miles on it altogether.

I'm interested in the car, only problem is i live in toronto (canada) I'm not sure how that works with all the shipping and stuff. How far are you from toronto, is there a way to ship the car or sumthing.

Thanx

I would be willing to do whatever is necessary to ship the car to Canada, I don't know what is required for going across international lines. I would be willing to meet you halfway if you wanted to trailer it back home. I'm totally willing to help someone with getting the car, I just won't spend any of my own money in doing so. Spending a little time on the phone won't bother me though.

If nobody is willing to buy it this way I will be repairing the engine eventually, but it will be maintaining the 2.5L motor.

I have no doubt that you can repair this for around $1,500. I just do not have the time, or patience to deal with it. I have way too much going on.
