Ok i will post the timeslip up this afternoon but i just wanted to let everyone know i went to the track last night with the 100 shot. I ran a 13.4@104mph in the 1/4. And a 8/7@84.9 in the 1/8th.

Tygerr...there was a video made of it. It might be a couple days before i can post that up tho. A friend of mine did it so i gotta go over there and figure out how to post it up lol.
Innovezero...traction was pretty good. I got some BFG drag radials. 225/50/15 on some stocky 15" fan blades. The second i hit the juice in 1st...it's over and i'm hitting second. And when i hit second it hops once or twice and then, when in the car, you can literally hear the tires grabbing into the asfault! :eek: I was actually hitting 4th before the 1/8th mile over!
And yes Wade it's still the 'ole 2.5. Over 130,xxx miles now and still runnin' strong! I think i am going to try and make a serious run at 12's before i dump this motor...if it can keep takin' this abuse that is. I think i have a good shot too if the axles/motor will hold up for one good run. I have a couple reasons to say this.
#1 is i still have the True Borla exhaust on there. There is no way that thing is anywhere near efficient sprayin' a 100 shot...much less the 125 shot :cool: . Yes i said 125. It even survived 2 runs of that. But the times weren't any quicker with it lol. So i am gonna try and do something about that in the near future and maybe free up some more hp.
#2 is i really wasn't trying to kill it out of the hole. My 60ft times were only 2.1 on the 13.4 runs, but that is not really what i bought the tires for. The main reason i wanted them was not to get out of the hole...but to keep traction in the first two gears while sprayin'. So if i can get a 1.9/2.0 then that would put me down to a 13.2/.3 just by itself without the exhaust.
#3 i'm gonna take the intakes off and clean up the intake ports on the heads a little bit to squeeze a lil more out of that. And i'm not sure if it will help any but i bought a 65mm throttle body that i haven't put on yet. Along with that Max EH'd UIM i still have in my garage.
#4 and finally i could do some weight reduction. These runs were done with everything still in my car. I took the subs out but the spare tire was still in the back so i was basically rolin' in at stock weight.
SO there you go. 12's??? We'll see sometime this summer. :cool:

Ya...just like any other car buffy...horsepower...and traction. Basic math really ;).....2+2 always = 4 :cool:

I'm a crazy impressed that the 2.5 is taking the abuse from the 100/125shot, much less on stock internals + 130,xxx miles.
That is a beast of an engine, nobody here is aloud to make fun of the 2.5L, yes the 3.0 is awesome...but the 2.5 is pretty damn impressive.

If I can ever get OTHER stuff to stop breaking (now its an alternator), I'm really wanting to see how far I can get this 2.5 NA (no nitrous or anything) with just bolt ons. 14's would make me happy, and I think with SVT UIM/LIM, GMK CAI, and Magnaflow duals, I SHOULD get there.

Well after the first run of a 14.1 i was kinda disappointed. But i knew i could do better cause my 60ft was only a 2.3 and my 1/8th mile time was only 2/10ths quicker than my all motor time. But i wasn't expecting to run a 8.7/13.4
I was pretty impressed myself actually. To my knowlege there is only one cougar/contour that is faster than mine and that would be BurritaSVT over on CEG with a 13.2 correct? Is there anyone else that is as fast/faster than a 13.4 other than DemonSVT?
