i conned my mom into making suede seat covers and she said that she might be able to make more to sell. is there any interest from my fellow socalians?

'couple questions...will they cover the rear seats? and do they attach to the body of the seats or slip over the top?

they will slip on to the existing seat and can be sewn into the seat. and yes they will be made for the rear seats too you will most likely have to sew the back ones on.

OK....back whan I was restoring Mustangs I re-did alot of interiors with the seat cover kits that attach with hog rings, is that what we're talking about?
(and shhhh I don't wana get banned or anything, but it stands for "Peoples Liberation Army For A Free Neco Forum" )

well so far there is just a sketch pad with a design. what are hog- rings im sure my mom knows what they are but i have no idea.

you are already the commissioner of MLWB but you can be the general as well.
Will you mom be making the door penals and arm rest cover as well? I think this is a great idea.

I was just checking out a Lightning this morning, and I love their Suede seats!! They are very very very very very cool, and if I didn't want to get new seats anyways, i would be all over this!! Maybe when I get new seats, she can re-apolster them with suede....

Hog rings are like heavy-duty staples that you attach with a special tool -- generally, you need a steel rod sewn into the seat material, then you use the hog ring tool to clamp the hog ring onto the steel ring and the frame of the seat (I reupholstered my Mustang, so I'm pretty familiar with the process.)
The work entailed in sewing in a steel rod would probably be more than your mom would want to take on.

well we'll se how she does it. and you guys will be the first to order them. i will probably have an idea of what the prices when carchck7 puts hers out.
