step one search for the numerous previous posts on molding
step two....remove screws.
step three use epoxy adhesive to secure kit the correct way.
step four clamp sides 24 hours to dry. you can also use screws to clamp with.
step five remove screws/clamps and begin molding.

ur suppose to use epoxy to hold them in place...so take them off apply the epoxy then screw them back on....once they've cured remove the screws and fill the holes....

also someone else can chime in becuase im only speculating but u can use bondo to hide the seam between the side skirts and the car thus molding them on....so apply bondo, then sand...its more detailed i think thats wat ur looking for....

if you just bondo the seem its prone to cracking. it needs some sort of glass first. kitty hair works nice for this.

First what sides do you have?

Second there shouldnt be any screws on top in the wheel wells and the doors maybe.

You need to get some 2 part automotive adhesives for what you are using urethane or fiberglass side skirts. If you have urethane side skirts then I would recommend also using a urethane 2 part filler to fill in the seam between the body and skirt.

Also you do realize that you need to get the whole car painted after you do it or at least get the sides blended with the rest of the paint right?

What sides do you have? When getting them molded keep in mind most of the side of the car is going to have to painted. I know some guy who does a good job on molding and he molded mine. I have a few pics on my main MySpace page with pics of the molded sides. www.myspace.com/cougarrida

when the molding process is complete you dont have screws anymore, the kit is held on by the epoxy adhesive and is seemlessly "molded" into the body of the car.

ha, good luck. just sell them to a noobie and get some that actually fit. or in reality just cut them up and make them fit since they actually look decent on the car once finished.

Actually it looks to me like they already fit quite nicely, why should he just "get rid of them to some noobie"?.

Those are the best drift sides I have ever seen. The ones I had were the original Street Weapon sides way back in the day when they first came out and they fit horribly mine were both too short and had to be extended but once they were on they looked awesome.

those look amazing to me. the ones i got were warped and one was too short and i went through hell heating and bending them to make them fit. :banghead: looks great now though so it paid off. Hold on to those side skirts you wont find anything better if u want the drift kit.

If planing to mold them in go to car quest and get fiberglass panel adhesive, evercoat kitty hair, and icing. the icing just acts as a flexible easy to sand final coat. This stuff is the best stuff I've worked with. And all the body men I've talked to has said they wouldnt use nothing else. So go spend the extra bucks and stay away from the bondo brand.

Just remember the more hardener you use the harder it gets and the easier it cracks.

Just wondering if you ever did this? Also, you can click my link to see my drifts molded in, but I had someone else do it, and they said it was a pain.
