as some of yall may know. i am back to stock with UR pulleys and a K&N filter.
so i am comin home from work today at about 7 ish. im just rollin limit 55 when i see an FC3S (thats a 2d gen Rx-7) roll past me. sound stock and i didnt hear a BOV so i figured its safe. i sped up to about 70 and caught up with him. so im lookin his car over bcuz i have my cruise on. he starts slowing down and i followed suit. well hell, i wasnt done lookin

we get to about 50 and i hear a whine, and my eyes did on of these :eek: im thinkin SUPER?? no way
i was right. it was just that high *** redline from him downshifting into 3rd. so i look at him and give him "THE NOD" and dude gives me the three fingers.

new clutch. good, clean filter. i was ready.:evil:

i honk up and caught power in third at 55 like always. and he just stayed DEAD EVEN with me. i shift in 4th and i hear this loud *** beep. those things have friggin shift beeps and lights. thats cool. so we keep on goin and i hit about 85ish where i shut it down bcuz i had a car on him already. and then this guy just killed his cool points.

when i shut it down he flew past me with his ricer lights on :disgust: . i feel so bad for anyone who knows him now.:(

nonetheless. i pulled on an RX-7 :biggrin:

I have a friend with an FC. I drove it once; couldn't get it to do a thing. 13B non-turbo. Felt slower than my Saturn.

haha. my brother just picked up a 1990 Convertible 5 spd version. but hes gonna make it a friggin monster.
nitrous, a jspec 20B THREE Rotor motor and then hes gonna street port it and fab a custom turbo kit. he SAYS hes gonna fab this setup so he can run a T88-H....idk if hes mentally or physically capable of something that wicked though.....

tell him to go to www.rx7club.com if he wants to atempt anything like that. and the Verts are the heaviest of them all. He was better off doing that in a Base model, or a GTu. But my next FC project is gonna be a vert.

and to the guy who says when you shift up on the FC3S you hear a buzzard. I've owned 4 of them and worked on tons of them and never heard that buzzard while shifting and even while hitting the red lines. The only time you would hear the buzzard while driving past 3500rpms is when your Power steering pump is messing up and you would hear the buzzard. Also it does have a shift light and tells you when to shift, But its a Safe shift only though.

on top of that 86-88 FC3S also known as the S4 only had around 148hp and thats not even at the wheels. 89-92 known as the S5 I believe had around 160hp.

S4 turbos had around 168hp and S5 turbos I believe had around 180hp. If any1 knows correct me. Im not 100% sure.
