Hey guys sup , Ive been noticing my buddy has a mustang infront of his house and I was talking to him about it and his mom wants to sell it. They were going to sell it to there cousin but I told him I was interested.
Im not sure of all the info on it but I no its the 87-93 body style and of coarse it has the 5.0 V8 its also 5spd :)
It does need work But I think it will be a great project car , So I will prolly sand it all down fix any imperfections and repaint it and it will not cost that much because one of my buddies uncle owns a shop .He always gets the keys there so one night take it over there and do a spray
I took a quick pic driving by 1 night here it is:
24977
Any info or advice on things I can do to the car thats not to expensive would be appreaciated:)
thanx

What year is it?
Any Rust on it? Check the A-pillars and floor. they tend to rust out along the frame rail on the drivers side.
The good thing about Fox bodies is that they are so popular you can find lots of parts and can modify them fairly cheap.
I have tons of parts so let me know if you need anything.

Well Im not sure exactly what year it is , but tonight I will go for a walk by and check the vin to find out cause he hasnt been homr for a few days . But im not sure if you can narrow the year down by the bumper style it has the 2 fog nights so i think its in the 90's
I will also look under it also

The Fog lights came on the GT's. You should be able to tell all the options on it by the vin number.

Making money on a Modified car is difficult.
I have never heard of anyone recapturing their money on modifications to a car, let alone flipping the car for a profit.
Joe, I've seen Mustangs on the autotrader in that time frame selling for a few thousand more on average...Why is this guy selling for so little?
I'd take a real hard look at it when you get a chance...Unless he's got money to burn and is just trying to offload it.

If the body is in good shape I'd say it was worth it. But yeah for a grand you gotta wonder what's wrong with it. You will have to get it certified to drive it.

Agreed...Body work is a beeotch if you don't have all the right equipment and work area.
From what I understand, Mustangs from then weren't too complex, so any drive train related issues that may exist could be resolved rather easily with some TLC.
Are you looking to get this as a project car Joe, or are you looking for something more turn-key and go, to play around with.

Everything on the car is easy to replace. The key is to find a body with no Rust. Even some rust on the sheet metal is okay, but the body and frame need to be clean. Hell I have a perfectly good Shell sitting up at my parents if you want a real project car.

Most likely the fuel pump. You can just add a fuel pump switch if you had to.
