I don't even think Buckshot is doing that anymore so you may not even be able to get one. He had a bad experience with a customer recently.

oh, well that sucks then. hopefully rick doesn't completely stop, he seems very knowledgeable when it comes to our platform.
would it be rude to ask what happened?

I am still doing the blocks for ADC for now and you can get it any way you want it as for as short block, long block, etc. They just advertise the short block on the site since all the options for other motors have to be priced out individually.
As far as what happened, I posted in the general forum on CEG so you might run a quick search in there. The long and short of it was that I got backed up on doing 4 engines at once and had the last one sent out about 6-8 weeks behind schedule. The engine got lost in shipping by UPS adding insult to injury. At this point the customer decided they didn't want the engine anymore even though these engines are built to order and non-refundable (as stated on ADC's site). They got pretty cranky about demanding a refund (the kid's dad actually bought the engine on credit card) and started making idle threats to my regular job and such. In the end after going round and round with UPS, UPS paid the claim out on the motor since it was found, but was still damaged in shipping, and the guy ended up filing a claim with his CC company and getting his money back. Other than a pretty sour experience for anyone involved at least it didn't end up costing anyone any serious cash.
