1969 sq. ft. Not too big, but not too small.
3 bedrooms, LR, FR w/fireplace, kitchen, small 'dining' area, 2 baths (we re-drew the master bath so I could get a big tub), converting the utility room to a playroom and half bath, basement, 2 car garage on 2.9 acres.
It is a split level but doesn't have that 1970's split level look from the outside front.
Schumacher homes is building it.

Jealous!
How much does something of that sort run you if you don't mind estimating? I'd like to build a house in the next few years. Renting is just stupid. I'll just try and buy an older house I suppose until I can get my "dream" home.

That looks awesome. I can't wait to build/buy a house.
I second the request for the approximate price something like that runs if you don't mind. thanks.

Thanks!
As far as cost goes, I believe the base price of this home is $118,000.
However, when you figure in the the cost of the land, adding septic, well, driveway, all the upgrades (lighting, better flooring, cathedral ceilings, better windows, etc.) it certainly adds up. We will be paying back 160K over the next 30 years.

Don't forget about landscape and a lawn. Then you'll wanna finish part of or all of your basement in a few years because you can't stand having all that space under your house doing nothing for you:biggrin: Oh and how bout a patio or deck....... It keeps adding up:)

Might I ask where you are building it?
The reason I ask is because I used to sub-contract to the company that is doing your flooring.

We are building in Richland County...very close to Ashland County (right up the road from Crestview Schools on St. Rt. 96). I can't remember the name of the co. we went to to pick out our flooring...Heritage Carpet maybe?? It was up near Akron or in Akron.

Ashland! My Dad works out that way that makes where
I live look like the city. I go out that way to get my fire wood can't
beat the Amish for prices.
Looks like a great place. 160K is cheap (for that house and land) after
all is said and done you must have got your land cheap nice job!!!!
it's around $25,000 per acre in Medina right now:goofy:

Yes, we got an awesome deal on land from hubby's grandfather.
And I am sure one or more of our neighbors are probably the Yoders ;)
