Silverado thinks hes fast

Saturday night I was out for the first Mt. Clemens, MI cruise of the summer. I was heading down Gratiot when I came up on a newer Silverado, lowered, manual trans, really nice exhaust note, CAI (pretty distinct note)...not sure what else was done. First time I come up next to him (40mph roll), downshift to third just to make some noise, he dumps it and takes off :confused: So I speed up to catch back up with him...this time I was ready to go, a car pulls in front of me and he dumps it again and takes off. By this time, getting a little confused with the whole thing...so rather than gettting next to him, I pull in behind him...about 3 car lengths back. Drop it down to 2nd to make a lot of noise (35-40mph roll)...he punches it again, this time i follow suit. By the time we had hit 60, I had pulled to within 1/2 car length. Did not get a chance to pass him though, too much traffic. Upon seeing how easily I caught him, he jumped two lanes over and turned down a side street.

Now I know most people do not like truck races, but the reason I bring this one up, is that I had three people in my car :eek: and as many of you know, the Cougars worst enemy is extra weight

Good job dude! yeah definatly trucks like that deserve to be stomped. And sooo true with the extra weight, I raced this Pontiac Persuit once with 4 people in my can and lost my a couple cars...then he told me it was supercharged. Not that fast for a supercharged car tho, (thought I heard the whine when he stepped on it).

yeah but the way i think of it.. a story is a story, you can tell by the title if its a truck story so if they don't like them they dont have to read them. Post away!
