Ok, the mod meet I'm hosting is coming up this weekend, so I thought I would post some more info about it. If I'm not working friday night, I'll be out most of friday working on my car. If I do work, I'll just be out there saturday. So anyone, feel free to stop by if you don't have time to stay for the whole day or whatever. Show up anytime after like 8:30am and you should be good. My address is

282 Belle Haven Pky.
Westerville, OH 43082

Never done one before personally, and the very thought of it scares the pee out of me. Perhaps someone else can help...

A clutch replacment is a mod meet in itself.

Won't have any mods to do :( , but hopefully I can get the Cougar out of the garage for a little bit :) Not sure when I'll get back from helping the parents out, but it'll be afternoon at best when I get there.

Clutch replacement at a mod meet?!!! Bwahahahahahaha...no seriously....ahahahahahaha. I would pay to see that attempted! Dude you want no part of that on a cougar. Dont mean to sound like an A but I had mine done and it was a two day project by a shop and my car was never right again after that. Its rediculously hard to get to and getting everything adjusted is no picnic. Pay the money and make sure you get some kind of guarantee. I'd pay a dealer to do it I think if I had it to do again.

Aaron, wish I could make it but Hunter turned 4 yesterday and we are having a birthday party cook-out thing tomorrow. Glad to hear you finally got the tie rod end back in place. Those things can be tricky when they get old and worn out. Someone this weekend needs to smack Mark for me for never calling or visiting anymore. I'm very very upset about you not hangin out anymore Mark

Good luck to all the cougars out there this weekend. And before you flame me for not participating I did just replace ANOTHER cougar alternator a couple weeks ago. I though sellin mine would end my having to do that stuff...:banghead:

Man, I had a great time. All of you guys are excellent people. It feels good to know that if I ever need anything, that you guys are capable of supporting me. You all have nice cars too, even the tempo :-p

It needs to be hosted again this summer, for I will get lots of stuff and know I will need guidance.

Thanks for the time taken to help me with my hatch, and my shifter!

Had fun, good seeing everyone again. Found out where that air/oil seperator goes as well. PCV -> Filter -> UIM (brass tube below tb) So I'll get that done and post pics. Hope everyone else got home safe.

Nice meeting the new guys as well.

Those are some good pics and I wish I could have been there, specially seeing as it was right down the friggin street!! Chris, I've prolly seen you rollin around town since I am off of Sunbury Rd. about 5 minutes away from Morse (before u get to Ohio Dominican).

Probably, I'm always down that way off County Line.

Oh! I e-mailed that dude from Home Depot. No response yet, hope it was the right e-mail.

Haha, I saw his Cougar when I went to home depot.

Would this just bolt on? Or is there more that I would need?

It'll bolt right up. Very simple mod. If you want a hand with it, just drop by sometime.

Im looking at the new damper pulley, and the CAI as of right now. I wouldnt mind the support bar in the back, and a SVT UIM. Once I get that I can install the LIM, and change the plugs on my car. *sigh* Money can go so quick with this ride, haha.

Struts and Springs can wait for now, Im not in dire need of them.

Actually, AEM does not make a cold-air intake. That auction is a little deceptive. That photo is a generic pic of a Honda CAI or something. What they are selling is only the top half of a Cougar CAI - a "short-ram" intake. Still a nice upgrade, and makes your car sound awesome. THe cold-air extension can be added later, like we did with JAMallott's car yesterday.

And yeah, Brett, I saw you this morning, but it didn't dawn on me until the last minute that it was YOU, so that's why I didn't wave or anything. But yeah, that's where I live.

soldier989
06-11-2006, 06:05 PM
Haha, yeah man, It didnt dawn on me until I saw your tail lights. Of course whenever a Cougar drives by I always have to look at it, it was just to quick. But still cool. Im showin everyone here at work my new exhaust and stick, they all love it.

I will probably just get the CAI. I need to prioritize my needs before going to extreme. I was pricing stuff here at work, I could easily spend like 1.5k in a heartbeat.

Have any of you done the new DMD? If so, I may need help with that, and the CAI. I think Im going to order those tonight, I can always put the LIM and UIM on later.

Trust me, if there was any way for me to keep this car I would. I love this car and I love the system I have in it, but it's breaking me. Without going into the details the coug is costing me exactly half of what I bring home after tax, and I still have rent, cable, power, water, food, and my cell phone (which has been shut off due to being the least important). Unfortunately I have no options other than winning the lottery :(
