Ok it seems that afew people want to mod there cougar's engine wise. I want to Turbo the cougar also but I want a real close round park estimate.
I'd like the parts needed or upgraded listed, it seems like were talking around what $3000-$5000?

Yea after driving an Srt-4 I think I'm going to do it the right way. Yea I need seawulf's advice & opinion if he's ever on cause he's NEVER in the Lonestar Forum! :disgust:

I happen to be lucky and know someone who does fabrication work and is very good with a TIG welder.
My advice is do it right the first time and don't go too cheap.
I bought a cheap crappy turbocharger, and now I have to replace it and have the downpipe modified to fit a different turbocharger. The Garrett GT2860RS is looking pretty good right now, but for a stock engine there are better turbos.

well i believe seawulf went with a wrx turbo iirc, and he saw some decent gains. he wasn't trying to make his a straight up drag car or anything either.
im going with forged internals and im looking to go with a t3/t4 turbo, itll be fast and upwards of expensive lolol!!! ive already collected parts this fall should be install time!!!:)

I remember, I posted my Turbo FAQ on the Focus boards to have them look it over first and see if there were any problems. I found the origional post and will cut and paste a new FAQ. Look to the top of the board.
