Hey I'm about to get my headers right after i install my yodude tonight, I need some details from you if you don't mind. I have an ATX and I'm asuming that's what those pics are of, it looks just like mine. What did you have to disconnect and take off besides the exhaust stuff? Did you have to take the alternater off? Can you give me a detailed instruction list. a does and don't, and things you screwed up on that you can save me from doing. and tips about installing it. I really think I'm capable and this doesn't seem impossible for me to do alone. I would rather do it than spend $400.00 on a shop. At least attempt it. It seems you have learned alot now that you've had the experience, so if you can do this for me I would really owe you one. I really need the info.

If anyone else has done an ATX let me know if you have some tips.

My email is www.scorpio278@hotmail.com for DanG and whoever has some info for me.

Really appreciate it guys

Oh forgot, how do you get a NECO discount? How much are the headers after discount?

Frosty:

Not sure about the discount- I ordered mine directly from Marty out of the first batch he made, even before he was shipping the MIL Eliminators with the set. Someone else will have to chime in here.

The ATX is NOT easy. I have the manual, and it took three of us about 5 hours to install. Marty @ MSDS ships a set of instructions with the headers that should give you all the help you need. I did not have to remove the alternator bracket, contrary to his instructions, because I found a way to attack the right-hand bolts next to the alternator bracket with a super-long extension and a universal joint. However, the ATX may throw a wrench into the works, since there's a gigantic transmission mount right in the way of the rear header. The front header shouldn't be a problem, but boy- That rear one's a mess. You probably have to support the powertrain with a jack, and actually REMOVE the transmission mount to get to the rear header. My advice is that if you're not an experienced mechanic, don't attempt it. Let a shop do it that has all of the correct equipment. A set of manual headers is fairly easy- I took one look at the ATX and recommended a shop do it (sorry, Andy).

Hope this helps,
