View Full Version : Reversal problems

When i put the car in reverse to back out of the driveway in the morning it acts strange. Instead of just kind of coasting backwards as soon as i let off the brake it just sits there until i hit the gas and then when i do that it kind of jumps backwards. Kind of annoying and a little embarrassing because it always looks like im in a hurry to leave or something :flushed: I really dont care that much about it unless it is a symptom of a bigger problem or a mechanic goes to back it up and runs over JimBob burning a heater.

I'm pretty sure the problem started just after i got my car stuck in a pile of snow trying to get in a friends driveway. Maybe it snapped something when i was trying to get free. The tranny also jumps sometimes going from 1st to 2nd or sticks real bad between 1st/2nd and 2nd/3rd. It's weird because anytime i just cold start and go the car drives really good, but when im on the highway for awhile and then try to get on it the problems mentioned above will take my balls away.

Any advice or opinions are appreciated

Sounds like im in for a wonderful day here sometime soon.

How much did it end up costing you?

Anything i can do to prolong the life of my current trans until i can save up a little bank?
