I found this:

I found a test in a chilton book.It says for primary winding resistance:
1-turn ign off.
2-disconnect neg batt cable.
3-unplug harness from coil pack.
4-measure primary resistance between:
-pin 4 (b+) and
--pin 1 (coil2)
--pin 2 (coil3)
--pin 3 (coil1).
Resistance should be 0.3-1.0 kilohms.

5-For secondary it says to measure between corresponding spark plug towers on coil.
coil 1-cyl 1-5.
coil 3-cyl 2-6.
coil 2-cyl 3-4.
resistance should be 12.8-13.1 kilohms.

Coils
4-6-5
3-2-1

Harness Pins
C2-C3-C1-Coil Power

but that uhh doesnt make sense to me... first off, whats pin 4? is that the coilpower pin?

if so then why am i only checking the resistance between the power and the first three coils and not all 6?

lastly im to measure the same first three coils across a different range of cylinders and again why not all 6???

can someone clear this up please b/c its making no sense to me

also, the FORD CD has the Harness pins going 1-2-3-4, not 2-3-1-4 (i assume 4) but i cant find the test procedure on the CD

His explanation makes sense to me.

The first test is reffering to the pins at the harness on the coil pack.
Pin 4 (b+) is reffering to the coil power.
They want you to measure the resistance between that pin, and the other pins to the harness: Pin 1 which is coil 2, pin 2 which is coil 3, and pin 3 which is coil 1.

The second test reffers to the actual leads that you attach the plug wires to.
They want you to test the resistance between coil 1 and the two leads that spark cyl 1 and 5.
Next test the resistance between coil 3 and the two leads that spark cyl 2 and 6.
Then test the resistance between coil 2 and the two leads that spark cyl 3 and 4.

EDIT: And here is a screen shot of the coil pack harness pin numbers:

gotcha!

coil pack was fine... after pulling all my plugs AGAIN i found that cyl 1 had a bad plug (arched bad over the porcelin) and the boot was rather f'd up, so i put all my stock wires back on... car seems to running GREAT again and I can return the new coil i bought (just in case i needed one id have it)

 GREAT explanation!!!
