I went and looked at it last night after work at 1am. started great, sunroof works, all power accessories work (all 6 speakers and the cd player, power seats, lights) leather is VERY comfy, "performance mode" and "touring mode" work great, brakes are newer, the underside is clean (put it on the hoist this morning), and there is very little body rust....the exhaust is a little loud for me, but that will be changing. I allready ordered an oil pan for it and a new windshield (the current one has a large crack in it)...and it has 205 hp and 230 lbs.-ft. of torque :) I'm not a fan of the 16' 'gold rims it has....but those will be changed hopefully for the factory 16'' 5 spokes

It's only going to cost $400 to safety and e-test...I take delivery next week so I'll post pics then. I got a good deal on it to and couldn't pass it up. Hopefully will be plated in the next month since I want to clean the crap out of it...and fix minor things like the small crack in the grill.

But yeah...I just had to share....I'm kinda excited about it!

since crazyoldcoug nailed it on the head....yeah, I bought a bonneville. The reason for buying this car IS for the baby. I had my buddies 3 year old test out every power option in the car (CD player, sunroof, windows, A/C, heat, seats...basically anything that had buttons) and everything works great. I picked it up for $800+ tax so I couldn't turn it down. It should be saftied, e-tested, and all loose ends tied up and such for a grand total of $1400. It's a winter beater, but hey, it's a damn nice car. We're going to clean it up at the dealership next week and I pick it up next Thursday just in time for the weekend. I'll fix er' up, and should have it on the road in 3 weeks (taking 2 paychecks to have it all done). I'll post pics soon next weekend.

Also, I got the girlfriends Grand Am (that I bought last November) for $1200 finished in March but never took pics of it...I'll post those to at the same time :)

EDIT: oh, and I had a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII for sale to...sold it Friday night. Wanted it....but it was WAY more for insurance (the thing was allmost 300hp on 91) because it was a 2dr with a 32V V8 :)

....it sold for $862

Yea I was thinking SVT Contour and when I saw bonneville, also thought that.

COuldn't be a GP GTP.

First year those had the s/c was '97, and the Series II 3800 with the s/c had 240hp. I then thought maybe just a GP GT.

None-the-less, congrats Dan...Solid drive train on the Bonny. Won't give you any probs, except the usual maintenence stuff.

I was thinking just a regular GP GT but thought those only had 200 hp. But congrats on your new car. Hopefully Ill be driving a Pontiac also in a few months.
