You want to put LEDS in your headlights, or your foglights?

Those are two different things, so you gotta be more specific. The size of bulbs for the headlights are 9006 and 9005, the size of the bulbs for the foglights are H3.

First of all..."thats illegal" (thanks Fett, but actually true this time). At least in PA you must have white lights on the front of you car whether it is the fogs of the headlights.

Second. I believe you are talking about bulbs not LED's. There are many different bulbs sold, but more than likely you will be better off getting some under car neons.

You are correct on the "only when driving" except for the fact that in pa, if you have them on your car, when you get it inspected they have to be working (and I don't think they would pass it if they were blue).
Your problem is more one of an electrical problem. If you wish to have leds where your fogs are, you would have to first find a way to remove where the current buld is. The fabricate a board with the leds to put in its place. (possible could find something and modify it). Then create a new connection w/ resistors and all. Seems like too much work for just fogs. If that is on the right track then I would suggest you post this in electrical and try to get hold of excelcier (he's the man when it comes to leds (interior/brakelights/etc), but you are going to really have to define what you want. If I'm on the wrong track...sorry for wasting you time, just trying to be helpful.

Overall the time it would take you to do would not be worth it in my opinion. There are many better ways to light up you car.

jeeze leave the poor guy alone, get the blue lights and don't use them when driving, what are the odds of your car getting checked anyways!

I don't think the boards would be to helpful if we just left them alone. I was just trying to be helpful and warn him of some possible problems. Plus, I just tried to get my car inspected two weeks ago, and they wouldn't do it because my fogs didn't work. So I took them off and then it passed so I would say there is a good chance of them getting checked when he got it inspected.

wait when do you ever get your car inspected, and why would it get inspected?

lol, several states have annual inspections of cars at licensing time - to verify that the car is roadworthy and/or non-polluting.

In PA we have to get an inspection every year for the reason said above. Also depending on what county you live in you have to get an emissions test to make sure your car is not polluting (too much). So you pay about $50 a year to the state...great for them. Sorry for the hijack...

So Astunna you should check your local laws (put your state in your profile this will also help if you every try to sell) check in your chapter and if there are not going to be any problems, then I think it would look cool it you filled the entire inside w/ leds fand had them in a sequence. Or you might be able to put a small tube in there. The would worthless as fogs, but since you want them for show it wouldn't really matter
