So I have been a very cautious but aggressive driver my entire life and have never had any problems with the police. I have a Bel RX65 radar detector that has served me wonders and saved my ass on many occassions. Now that I think about it, it has never missed a cop.
Well I was on my way from NY to CT and I'm going a good 75+ mph and I'm about to pass this tracker trailer truck. Right as I get up to the front of the truck my detector goes APE S**T. I look over to see this state trooper that just so happened to be flying past the other side of the truck on an on-ramp and he's looking RIGHT at me. I slammed on my brakes and got it down to 65 before he could get me but he still pulled me over and gave me a BS ticket for my window tints. They are obviously illegal so I have no chance of fighting it. *sigh* well at least I didn't get caught for speeding.

Did he say anything about your radar detector?
Nope, actually he was a pretty nice guy I was just waiting for the time to come for me to get caught with my tints.

damn sux about the ticket. ive always heard to roll down your windows if you suspect police might be around so that they cant see your tints.

Ah dont feel bad. I was the same way.
Got busted doint 20 over in Georgia back in february...
Cop wrote me up for 24 over...
Find out today my license has been suspended for over a month now. Only 5 more to go!

My girlfriend just got pulled over and 'ticketed' the other day for window tint. She just had to take the driver & passanger side off and they voided the ticket.

yea for the tints just go to a precinct and get a "equipment violation form" Fill it out yourself then when you go to court they will most likely throw it out!!
Yeah well the problem with going to court is that I got the ticket in some little hick town half way inbetween NY and CT so I don't have time or the effort to go fight it out there so I'll just pay it and be done with it.

hahaha yeah I get that look almost every day lol.
The one day I was flying down Whoop-up drive going easily 20-30 over, when a cop passes me and just stares..luckely there was no where for him to turn around for about a 1/4 mile... but I didn't stick around to find out :biggrin:

I live in Arizona where it gets 120 in the summer, and I have dark interior. If you think I don't need the front windows tinted, you can kiss my ass. :gtfo:

Anyways~sucks man~i got ticketed in the middle of nowhere ohio ~ which is most of the state~ for going 83 in a 65 at 3am~ agreed~ booo to coppers *oink*
