I have no idea what radio stations are out here. I assume you don't pick up Q106 out here?

94.7 is pretty much all classic rock. 104.3 is older rock. 101.1 for modern heavy rock. 88.7 for alternative rock.

What's goin' on - what's wrong with Marvin Gaye? (there's a play on words in there somewhere)

Q106 is good (Lansing) 97.9 out of Grand Rapids is good. NPR (91,1 or 91.7 ?) out of Ann Arbor is good, too :p

Yeah, when I drive onto the Ionia or GR plants I lose all my Detroit stations around Lansing. I usually pick up Q106 for about 5 or 10 mins before I hop over to NPR for the rest of the way. Of course, NPR is so slanted it makes me laugh my ass off the majority of the time. ;)

I loved the Drive. No more Super Seger Sundays!
But it's good to know that I wasn't tripping out or something when I heard Eminem on there today.

you're not a real NPR geek until you start sporting WDET gear. My dad loves his WDET hat and shirt. I don't mind the All Things Considered show, but the old Thistle and Shamrock show was pure noise pollution that would stink up the house every Sunday afternoon.

I drink my coffee at work from my Michigan Radio mug every day ;) My favorite weekend shows are Prairie Home Companion and This American Life. I listen driving to and from work, but usually rock on the weekends.

I was listening to another clearchannel station this morning and they had a commercial about 106.7 -- said they need help deciding on a format, and until then they'll play random crap.

I only listen to Rif in the mornings and mostly between rif and 94.7 and 89x in the afternoons long drives goes to the NPR for something interesting to listen to, usually makes me laugh so..

NPR really makes me laugh, some of their points are so far left their bias stands out like a becon. In fact the other day I was listening after the Presidential speech, and one of their guests said he didn't talk about something, when I knew for a fact he spoke at length on that subject. One of their guests started to say how it was talked about, and he was cut off and they took a break. When they returned that guest was gone, and they went right back with the other guest saying that the President didn't talk about it -- with no-one to tell the TRUTH. Of course, to be fair, I watched Anderson Cooper on CNN after I watched my recording of the speech and he did the SAME thing, saying something should have been talked about but wasn't. (When actually it WAS, as I had just watched the speech like 5 mins beforehand.) News spin is so damn annoying...

I loved that station, how sad. Almost as sad as when 94.7 went from 70's to whatever the hell it is now. I loved the 70's music on that station, it was so happy.
