depending who does it, and the quality (booth, how much work is involved ..., the detail work they're going to do, etc ...) it could run you from my assumption $1000-$2500 get some estimates ... and if you're going to have it repainted you should have some stuff done to it as well ... lipkit, or something

I've had one estimate for a complete repaint of the same factory color ( Laser Red -- tri-coat metallic ) plus a pearl coat at $4000.

go to your local body shops and have estimates done.
It costs you nothing and gives you what you seek.
There is no way someone over the net can guessitmate this for you.

2500 - 3500 should get you a decent reputable job with a nice product after...
but if you want to do a 2-tone or if you want candys or pearls expect that number to double..

It also depends on if they use 2 stage or single stage, as the latter is usually significantly cheaper with extremely similar results. Around here I can get a full repaint, single stage, with prep work for $650!

didnt someone post in the garage area a few months ago about some guy that painted his old school dodge charger with rustoleum - and it really turned out well?

I got my white repainted ultra white for cost with them molding the drifts. However, I must say that I would at a high school and it took the shop about two months and had a couple runs.

:bs:
Look at any white Cougar with a Roush kit that was added to it after the fact. The differences are subtle but noticeable, and they both used the same "Vibrant White" color.

It's noticeable on the front bumper and maybe the rear bumper mainly. I can't speak for my rear since it was repainted a different shade by a terrible body shop (repaint soon.) However, the only reason the front is different is because the front bumper has really seen better days.
The biggest thing you'll see is the Roush you put on is just new. The clearcoat looks great and everything. The skirts match to my car 100%. If you claybar, polish, wax, and generally take care of your car it matches great even 6 years later.
It helps that my car is garage kept and was only used for 27k.

Dare you to go into home depot and tell them white is easy to match..... You couldnt be more wrong. With white a single drop of the wrong tint color can make it look different.
