Friday works, Saturday works...I don't know what the plans are for going to Michigan....I think Matt wants to go on Friday to drop off his car...but, if you guys are coming at a different time, I can stay home and Ron and Matt can go to Michigan. Ryan and I are just making sure that Jason will be able to do things. Last week it seemed like he was not going to be able to have Ryans parts ready in time, which would mean my parts would not be ready... If that was the case, we would have to cancel everything until later (maybe september).

The last words I heard from Ryan were "cautiously optimistic". He should be able to let me know today or tomorrow if things are 100% go or no-go for launch. :)

as for the plans... I thought it was happening like this:

1- Matt arrives Friday around dinner - hangs out with Ron and Jen for a bit.
*2- Since Jason wants the car Friday afternoon/night to get a head start on things, Ron is going to have to escort me over the boarder and to Jasons location.
3- Since Brad is away, didn't he offer his place to you guys to stay the night? - just so we don't have to zip across the boarder a bunch of times. I know E1 offered sleep space too, and I'd even sleep in the car if I had to :tongue: ...Maya is definitely, definitely welcome also.
4- Saturday morning... work, meet, fun
5- Saturday evening/night - providing everything gets done and works... Back to the house of Excelcier and LadyX, where I might request shelter for the evening :flushed:
5(2) - If everhting is not done, back to step #3 (but since everyone American has work on Monday, and knows what they are doing with the cougar, i'm sure it wont take more than 2 1/2 days. just one really long one.
6- sunday, hang out with anyone around on Sunday in Windsor, and head back whhenever I get kicked out ;)

Did brad offer his place for you to borrow for the night? If you and Jenny felt like a little camp out, we could all cross the boarder once. Get the car to Jasons, then camp out at Brads, and Saturday theres the meet, and we all cross back over Saturday.

Well, as I said before (in another, long lost thread) Matt and anyone else that needs to crash in the US can stay at my place. I have a rather large place and plenty of places to crash. Just don't mind the cats, and ignore Geo dragging stuffed animals all over the place. :P

It would be best if John met us AT Jasons though... because thats where I have to drop off the car. Jason wanted it the night before so he could get to work on some things before the crowd shows up Saturday.
Once we all meet up, then we can do whatever we feel like :)
I'm leaving here around 6:30am, I can make it to Toronto in 3hrs, london is another 2, and windsor is another 2. Taking in stops and gas, I SHOULD be at your house Ron somewhere between 2:00pm and 5:00pm.


Just one question though. Ron, if you are heading back Friday night to sleep at your own place... how do I get home? :flushed:
It sounds like you are planning on staying over and doing the headlight flasher for John? - I was thinking to save on driving for you, that you and I should just camp out at Johns... then you are already here for the 'meet' and dont have to drive over / come back / drive over / come back.
Or if you'd like to stay home Saturday with Jenny, I could sleep over at Johns(?) Saturday night too. On Sunday though, I would need your help navigating back to the holy mother land. :)

Like a bandaid, i'm just going to rip it off fast and say that 'my weekend got cancelled'... there will be no detroit goodies, no early cougarfest shirt deliveries, and no nd4spd invasion :cry:

Basically what seems to have happened, is that the Cams for Ryans new engine aren't ready and Jason (who is building the engine) doesn't know when they will be ready... a week, 2 weeks? 3 weeks maybe? who knows.

I've suggested two other times... the weekend before fest, and sometime around hamillfest. I hope something can be worked out then.
ARGH!! half the reason I wanted to come down was for hanging out... not just the swap. I was looking oh so forward to some grilled cheese :(

I'm not 100% sure of the house #, but there's a sign right by the driveway that says "the Augustin's"... its about 20 minutes off the 400.. me n mike can meet up with you if you want, coz it might be a little hard to find your way around in the dark, especially since you havent been up there before. Great roads though, twists and turns, and uphill and downhill... its a rush!
