Whats everyone think of these seats? Especially if they were under $300 ...

Be careful with inexpensive seats. You're going to spend a LOT of time sitting on them, so if they are uncomforable, you'll know it every time you're in your car. I bought Ebay seats...ONCE. Never again, those things hurt my back so bad after 15 mins in them, it was horrid...
Seriously tho, if you look around you can find really good deals on top-brands. I can get Corbeau and Recaro for about $300 each, depending on the model, you just need to look around and find someone who isn't trying to do a 150% markup.

i was looking for a pleather or leather looking seat, instead of the vinyl. i got black leather in there now, and wanted something that would flow with the front and back well ... i'd like the xr's but to find them in a great condition after 4 years of abuse i think is going to be difficult.

yeah i had set of 3a racing seats that i got from my friend , i think he got them from pepboys. they looked nice, but one trip from savannah to south carolina and i was begging to have my stock seats back. the seats were so uncomfortable, my back would hurt 15 minutes into a trip.

Also avoid Ractive. They look nice, but the lumbar is not adjustable and they are very uncomfortable. Luckily, I was able to pull mine apart and redesign the foam to reconstruct it to be more comfortable and reupsholster it ( 90% done, one final tweak needed ).

Stock seats > cheap aftermarkets.

Nemesissy is absolutely correct. I LOVE my VX-2000's from Corbeau. They're more comfortable than stock.
dont forget my namesake.
edit: and Cobra... they make one hella sexy seat.

yes but for me to get a black leather through a decent company will run me $1000-$1500 for the seats ... might as well get katzkins custom leather racing seats with matching all the way around for $1500

I average probably 17,000 or more miles a year in my car. I've put 20k on the Cougar in the last 10 months. The $1100 I spent on seats, harnesses and brackets was extremely well spent.

well if you checked the fs section you would of found out that I was selling some sparco seats with the harnesses for cheap. For some reason no one likes to look in that section :crazy:

yeah i think my friend got them from pepboys. they really suck, but i didnt really test them until i put them in, the went to south carolina that weekend. its really not worth it. also i have never had any back problems, the seats were just very uncomfortable.
