there's a possibility that it might fit, but to be 100% sure, i would get an intake made for the cougar.

the only main thing to worry about is how high it will come off of the throttle body. if it comes to high, itll hit your hood. also you want to make sure its long enough not to hang over the engine, you dont want it to suck of hot air off of the engine.

i thought i had a thread about this. hmmmm any way that looks like it would be for the sohc and would be a damn tight fit. there are other ones on e-bay for the focus that would fit much better just look for focus parts and u should find some for like $10. but make sure it's for the dohc.

here's the link to my post http://newcougar.org/forums/showthread.php?t=94562

the only thing with that pipe is that is it meant to run along the fire wall...if you have seen them installed in the focus then you see what i mean...they dont bend all nice like ours to get where it sits factory...i think there would be major clearance issues with this pipe and themaster cylinder/ strut tower...the focus engine if i am not mistaken is also situated about 3" to the passenger side of ours...giving it a little more room...

may I ask why you are posting a picture of your engine? lol. we all know what it looks like. and no, that piping won't fit bc of hood clearence. now you could buy it and try to cut it down some, but that pipe prolly won't be long enough to get over to the side of the fender where the stock box is, putting the filter right next to the engine, which is no good.

1>buy a cougar intake...there are atleast three i can think of.
2>if not buy a bunch of 3" aluminum pipe / bends and all and fab one up yourself...gonna be expensive though..
3>buy an intake from ebay for a any car that looks like the same bends and cut her allto hell to make it fit..

me being the smart ass that i am, im reviving this thread once again...just to say, ok, just because a focuz, and a cougar, have the same engine, doesnt mean you can swap out every part.
