Normal Battery Voltage?

What is the "Normal" battery voltage for our cougars? and also I can not find any How To's on taking the Alternator out, i have been searching.. found puk puks but nothing happens when open it

12V system with +2v of charging.

And since your asking about these together i have to assume that your under the impression voltage has much to do with the alt? remember Amperage is much more improtant, drop by an auto zone or whatever and have your system tested. That test means tons more than what a simple multimeter will tell you.
