Okay.. some of you are saying that iridium are crap and we should go with NGK.. some of you are saying that NGK is a piece of crap and we should go with Denso Iridium...
Im looking for a spark plug which would run good without n2o and safe enough for a 55 shot.. ( zex wet kit on a v6 engine )
NGK TR6(IX??) gapped at .34 ... and re-gap them to .43 ??
or
Denso Iridium and regap them also to whatever between .40 and .50...
I dont feel like changing my spark plugs everytime Ill be spraying .. Im sure people on this board are driving their cougar each day with some colder spark plugs and their idle is not that rought..
Who can gap spark plugs ?? a mechanic ??

I drive mine everyday with my NGK TR6 copper's gapped at .040 and it runs like a champ. I even get 27-28mpg in fairly heavy traffic going to and from work.

Denso recommend against gapping the plugs as you may snap the center electrode

You realize NGK is a company, and Iridium is a type of plug. NGK makes iridium, platinum, and copper plugs, as does Denso.
Both Denso and NGK are good plugs...
Run coppers... but be sure to check them regularly. They will burn out quite quickly. So make sure you are checking them every 6 months or so at min., but if you are running alot of N2O... you really should check them after the group of N2O runs.... blowing out a spark plug is not cool. Plus checking the plugs will tell you what's going on in the combustion chamber.

The TR6's are 1 step colder, and that will be all you need for now.

Gapping to .40 is a little overkill for a 55 shot. If I were you, I'd gap it to .50

At the most i would go with .045. I can tell you from personal experience right now...i am running NGK TR6's in my car gapped to about .037-8 and my car idle perfect. Runs like a champ even when not spraying, and still gets good mileage.

Ive been running .032 for over a year now.
I gapped to .045 one time and I had a plug blow out.

.038 should be fine. And for the last time...TR6 is all you ever need to go with. If you need a colder plug then you have a built motor! lol

good info in here, i run NGK plugs since i have the best luck with them, gapping @ .040 and then also i would say 1 step colder till 75 shot then over that i would suggest 2 step.. IMO of course not going against anything u guys say...

how long will the copper plugs last? ive heard that they only last about a month and then you have to replace them. also, does putting the copper plugs in take alot away from the power of the motor when im not using the spray?

At least 10,000 miles is what mine have lastest. And no... it doesn't take away "alot" of power. Maybe a couple hp/tq?
