well i just installed it yesturday...
noting noticeable to note yet, however the papr work does say it will take a couple days for the computer to learn it..since i drive my car about once a week i should know better in a month or so...LOL
as for install it was a piece of cake...seriously easier then then even an intake install..
only problem was breaking the rust built on the factory crank pully...
factory pully weighs about 3-4 pounds...unorthodox pully about 13 oz...
install was simple like i said...i didi it twice actually cause the belt i bought was the wrong size so i had to revert back to factory to drive to the parts store for a new one..
second time i installed it i did it in the parking lot with the wheel on still, that how easy it was...only tools needed were:
10mm socket to remove the plastic shroud in the wheel well, and an 18 mm socket to crack the bolt on the crank...obvioulsy you need the ratchet too...for the smart a**es LOL....oh and a 8 mm socket to remove the lower timing cover...
you have to shave off the lip on the timing cover to make the belt fit properly...i took about 3/16 of and inch off and belt fits fine...the instructions gaurantee that doing this will not harm anything...i still dont know about this..
the UR pully has holes right through it, therefore allowing the elements into the timing area...i guess i will see if this creats any problems down the road...
anyway, once the timing cover is shaved and reinstalled the pully slides on like butter and bolt her back in...if you have a 5 spd you will need a helper though to put the car in 5th and hold the brakes on...
now for the belt...since my A/C no longer works i just decided to bypass it...with just the UR pully and by passing the A/c you will need a 75.5" belt or a 76"...i really wanted a gatorback but the local guys didnt carry that size so i had to settle for a generic belt.. UR says to use a 79.5 inch belt..i tried there was no way it was fitting around...there was obviously so much slack i didnt even consider driving/ starting the car...I went with a smaller belt, that was pretty tight going on...cause i am having a custom alt pully made...guy at the alt shop said i already had the smallest available pully on the alt so i figured i would just get a smaller one made..so hopefully when i put the smaller alt pully on it will slacken up the belt a bit..
any rate everything is good so far...
i wil be swaping out the exhaust soon and then hitting th dyno to see what my 1000+ dollars has bought me in the way of HP...
LOL i am not holding my breath though..
