if your so well versed in suspension install.

whats the best way for reattaching knuckels to the struts... I used a big ****ing hammer to get them off. I intended on using a big ****ing bottle jack and a 4x4 to press them back on... is this the best method?

wrong thread terry ...

As for your 1st post ... yes a 2x4 and jack works well to press the strut spring assembly back up to clear the knuckle. This can be tricky and ungainly but it works. You can try putting the spring compressors on to make the assembly tighter BUT the spindles for the compressors generally get in the way, pressing against the strut towers.

really if you have the tools and the patience its not that hard to do, just some stuff is harder to get to and requires some thought. If you can go for a day or so with out your car do it yourself. If youre unsure go to autozone and get a chilton or haynes manual. it has the removal procedures in there

If you want to borrow my spring compressors just drop by. I did do my springs and struts myself, but i had at least been shown the ropes by Tom when we were doing the 3L swap on Steve's cougar.
