So I pull up to the light, in the left hand lane, and I'm waiting for the green. I noticed theres a 24v contour right next to me with some kid. No big deal. Light turns green, i go like normal and realize the kids accelerating a bit faster then me. I speed up a bit more, as does he... Grrr. I half floor it and bam, no traction. (The ground was still a bit wet from the on/off rain, obviously). The guy hears my motor revving like crazy as the tires spin and takes off. W/e. I give up, it's not worth the ticket/wrecking.
I'm still in the left lane and the kids trying to get next to me, whereas, I'm trying to get over in his lane for an upcoming turn. I speed up a bit, so does he, I slow down, so does he. Aggravating. I finally just brake and pull in behind him right before my turn. The light JUST turns yellow, a chance for me to race. Nah, not worth it. So! This kid sees me turning and cuts over real quick to turn as well, then floors it through a 25mph section. Good for you man. (Cops have been sitting and pulling people over recently there.) Anyway, second left I turn into my apartments and the whole ordeal is finished.
Just thought that was strange. I've gotten TONS of people wanting to race me ever since I switched my rims back on/put on my test pipe. Not sure if its the rims or the louder exhaust that's attracting them. Oh! You'll never believe me, but I had this older man in a mf'ing Porshe Carrera try to race me!!! I just laughed with my girlfriend and gave the guy a thumbs up as I was freaking out how awesome the car was. He then preceded to serenade me with his beautiful dual exhaust.
Moral of the story: Porsches are awesome.
