are the dirtiest team ever. how can a goal be counted if the puck is high sticked from one oiler to another, then the ref loose site of the puck, and then an oiler kick it in? their is three no-gos right there.
if the ref looses site of the puck in the goal crease area play is to be stoped
if the puck is high sticked from one player to another, it is a penilty
if a player makes a kicking motion with thier skate and puck goes in, goal is disallowed.


so how did this goal count ??????

Well, 2 of the 3 are right. If the puck is high-sticked from one player to another, the play is whistled dead, but it's not a penalty.

note: i am not just saying this because the wings are out of the playoffs. i am a huge wings fan, but i will be the first to admit that the oilers compleatly outplayed the wings, and the wings just plain played like crap. but the officating(yes i know i cant spell) was unbareable

Not to bring back this thread. but i am an official and a HUGE wings fan.

The goal shouldnt have counted because of the highstick. so it was the officials fault with the highstick part. play should have stopped.. however the player didnt kick the puck in. under many reviews it appeared to run down his leg and trickle in. During reveiw a goal cannot be disallowed by a highstick. the Highsticking call is not a reviewable play.

The Trap Defense by the oilers is what killed us. We couldnt penatrate at all.
As for legacy, Not his fault in anyway. sure he could have made some more saves but u gotta look at the big picture.

But it sounds like Chelli has signed for another year
