Logan Motorsports (http://www.loganmotorsports.com/) is going to be at fest with their portable dyno doing tuning and power pulls. In order to make everything go smoothly we are going to set up a schedule so that ther is no confusion about who goes when. We are going to schedule 4 custom tunes a day since these can take a couple hours to get a car tuned, includes multiple dyno pulls and custom programing of chip (chips not included). Cars that just want to have power pulls done will be fit in between tunes. Logan Motorsports is a superchip dealer and will also have a limited number of chips and xcal flashers available.

NOTICE: All dyno participants will have to sign an insurance waiver for both Logan Motorsports AND Cougarfest/hotel

Prices:
3 power pulls(horse power and torque) will be $50 preregister or not

preregistered people signed up for sure gonna do a tune and be at fest
custom tune $125/hr
superchip $250
xcal flasher $330

show up at fest and decide you wanna tune or buy a chip/flasher
custom tune would be $150/hour
super chip would be $300
xcal flasher would be $380

if you want to sign up post in here and ill update this post, if you have any questions about logan or the dyno post here (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/showthread.php?t=90216) Those posts not following this WILL be deleted

I'll have to see how tight money is at that time, but I would atleast like to get the 3 power pulls for $50.

Canadian should be put down for power pulls so we can see what the ol' hybrid's really puttin out.

We were sitting square at 200 HP/203 ft-lbs of torque before my slipping clutch made us stop playing above 5000 RPMs.

Put me down for one of the power pull spots, but I'll be more than happy to surrender it if there is someone else interested.

Also, thank you Jason.

It is fun. I dyno'd mine 2 years ago, even though it's completely stock. Baselines are good.

throwing this back up top for a reminder. Even if you havent started modding the power part of your car, its always good to get a baseline, and this is a great price to do that

is my car going to cause a problem since it is so low with the roush kit? a normal jack wont fit under there, so hopefully they bring something more inventive.

GMK is on top of shiz! I predict low 190's for you!

but it is a most wonderous little engine.
2.5 svt's can get into the 190's, and you can too!

I estimate 165 at best on my basic tune.

I dynoed several years ago at another cougarfest @ 155whp 150wtq.

New mods since then include, lighter wheels, lighter brakes, ps/alt UD, max EH uim, and Xcal2 flasher.

Last year at fest I was untuned. Only mod since then was the Xcal2 tuned by Hypnotic illuision. Not dyno tuned. I got it primarily for elimination of the lower o2 sensors, lower cooling fan settings, and other emission related things. I can say I havnt had a false or annoying CEL in forever.

lighter wheels and brakes mean nothing on this dyno. it hooks up directly to the hubs like the rims would like this (http://www.loganmotorsports.com/Jason_Gast.html)

Lightweight rotors will still affect the rotational mass no?

he will be able to use my current Xcal2 right?

He was just saying that it doesn't matter if you have lighter brakes or wheels when it comes to the dyno. The numbers aren't going to be any better. Just like they say litter flywheels don't show on the dyno.

yes he should be able to use your xcal. I will double check with him this week though

If there are any slots for power pulls left once everyone arrives in Indy, will there be a sign up sheet or something available? For those of us who aren't really sure we want to do it, but are tempted?

jaged

yes, we will have a sign up sheet. We will get the people out of the way that signed up and then bring in others that are unsure. But you know you wanna do it, c'mon, all the cool kids are doing it
