i love the car but i put 3 alt. in it in 5 months.. i have no system or anything is stock except for an intake. and there are no wiring of fuses problems..i got a 85 volvo 740 turbo thats faster.. but my cat will be there soon enough.

You've got a v6 right? The rims say V6 to me. Eh should be faster. The alternator thing happens, not to most but some have to replace them alot.

welcome......good choice on the 02. i had an 01 and loved it but like you i had a few problems. i just didn't have the patience i guess.

see i figure the 99's are when eveything went wrong with them and then by 02, ford finally worked out all the bugs...ive had almost 5,000 in recall work done on my 99.. my fuel pump shut off, shorted out for some odd reason..what the ****

Make sure you take it in for the new fuel pump and EGR solenoid. Ford replaced them both under recall on my car.

Heh, just be glad you didn't have the problems I had with my '99...I had it 6 months and it was in the shop every weekend till I sold it...I still have the blue-slips to prove it :rofl:...then again, I have just as many problems with my '02, so maybe I'm just unlucky :rolleyes:

yeah, hopefully the 02 wont put up to much of a fuss...i also have a 85 volvo 740 turbo....its faster than mine 99...but it is a race car....
