hey guys, thanks for all the posts on my last thread, okay, my car seems to be runnin hot, like 210-215 at idle, now the good thing is, its not gettin any hotter then that, i think its the original waterpump which i heard are junk, so im gunna run by murrays this week n get a new one, prestone lifetime warantee, let me know if you think this is my problem

The Duratec runs hot normally. The fan comes on at around 225°, so you're well within safe range. A new water pump will not change this.

I would change the thermostat before anything esle anyhow. That and have the dilution of your coolant checked too

Hvac and headlight panels need to come off to take off the shroud.

Good luck at nationals. I finished 8th my senior year in my cougar. If you've never bracket raced before, you should get some practice.

I'd say you could run about a 14.5 if you are a good driver.

Are you talking about your stock tach? I think the top shroud popps off pretty easkily(just held in by clips) then you can unscrew the gaugue cluster to remove it. remember to disconnect the negative battery cable first though.

Also do you have a Ford tech. cd for you car yet? If not I can burn you one and hook up with you one day when I am getting out of work and give it to you.
