help. Weapon r Short ram dragon intake?

Hey, does anyone have a short ram intake? Does it help at all, I just bought one and its in the mail...then i heard that it can accually decrease your hp because of heatsoak....so what sohould i do? Please any imput would be nice.

Seriously guys... now im scared to put it on because im afraid that Ill LOSE power from my engine. SHould i buy a Cold air box? From where?

you will gain power while moving (20mph +)

however while stopped the heatsoak may bog you down.

bog me down like how? will my revs drop or what? *sigh* its getting summer and im starting to regret buying the short ram intake, but i also live in an area where it rains do i dont want a CAI.

don't worry about it. you will be perfectly fine. I ran that intake for 2 years on my cougar. worked great. noticed a lil bit of a gain. but after like, a 3 hour drive, it wasn't quite as peppy as when i first cranked it up. you'll be fine, don't worry

cool, im MOST LIKELY going to buy the extension from GMK... any comments on that? Quality? installation? delivery time? anybody have comments on it?

you will like it...it sounds really nice...especially in tunnels...i havent had any heat soak problems...

dont worry its just an intake no secretes about it not very important will add minimal hp and if it would take away hp which i doubt it would itll be impossible to notice buy the gmk extension hes a great guy and will definitly put alot of care into it, trust him. i havent worked with him personally but ill tell you ive heard nothing but awesome things. dont worry about the intake though its not a big deal put it on youll love the new sound itll excite you driving the cougar all over again, but like i say in intake is the smallest first mod and NOTHING to worry about! good luck with the zetec ill have something REALLY speacial for ALL of you soon which will renew your hopes of 300 hp:evil:
