Greetingz and salutations. I am a owner of a 1999 Silver Cat. I love my car but I have had some problems that are adding up. My most recent issue is that as of yesterday, my power locks and alarm no longer work. The radio and the windows work. I hope this is only a fuse... Also I have the moosing issue ( sounds like a foghorn or whines), the lights in the shift panel have gone out, some times there is a rotten egg or sulphur smell, etc. I love the car, in fact I just paid it off last monday, only to my dismay on this Monday, where it now suffers hail damage. I dont even have 70,000 miles on it yet! DO I give up on this baby and try for another Cat?? I know the problems have not been as major as others that I ve heard or read... There have been some other problems, like it completely died in Dec, replaced brakes etc. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.. Should I stay or should I go...
  :banghead:

Stay... Moosing is not that hard to fix only about a 50 dollar part.

Rotten Eggs smell is most likely your catalytic converter going out. That isn't a cheap fix but its not that bad 500 ish i think not real sure on that.

As for the hail damage most of it can be work out easily by a dent wizard company, the cougar interior panels are not that hard to take off, making it easy for those type of body workers to fix most damage.

Anyway welcome aboard  What region are your from?

here is the answer to your rotten eggs smell

http://www.trubendz.com/home.asp?producttype=exhaust&productfor=cougar_testpipe&productid=10029925&pagetype=detail

but it could also be your precats as well, cause i replaced my cat and still have the smell so once the headers go on i shouldnt have it anymore
