I’d like us to come up with a couple fund raisers we could use the proceeds to fund future events/meets and a NW chapter website hosting fee.

SO…. what would you all be interested in purchasing? Both within the NW group and/or general NECO items that may be of interest to members across the country. Some of the things I’ve thought may be good are shirts or hats (not very original – but probably the best return $), stadium blankets (or trunk blankets ;)), keychains etched or printed, mousepads, license plate frames, water bottles or coffee travel mugs, NECO NW vinyl decals, etc…

Post ideas you have on what would have the most interest – or bring suggestions to the April 29th meet :)

If you're making something to sell to all of NECO, I'd love to have a NECO license plate frame

Rhino just told me he has a spare one from some they ran a while ago. don't know if it's a generic NECO one or a TA NECO though. If we end up doning some from here though, I'll let ya know (or you can keep trolling around ;) )

I'd buy the License plate cover for sure :) but either way, i think some kind of car part for cougars would be cool. Something simple i've got in mind would be a 3rd brake light cover, whether saying NECO or COUGAR.

WOOO LISCENCE PLATES! haha sorry I just think those would look sick! oh and keychains are always good too, my school had these ones with our schoots logo custom made for my grad last year, I can find out where they got those done at if you want, as we could do a NECO logo keychain (not just a square with it etched in, but an actual molded keychain that has the contours of the image... I guess kinda like those variety club pins or w.e

If you are looking for something that can have the NECO logo on I know a company that sells clothing and other wearable items at a bulk price that can have logos imprinted. If you want I can pick up a catalog and bring it to the meeting.

I can do embroidery here for just the price of the shirts & an initial setup fee (something like $20) for the design to be transfered to my machine.

could do: polos, sweatshirts, fleeces, beanie hats, maybe baseball caps (haven't tried them), etc...

good thing about doing them here - is wouldn't have to order any large amount up front - but could do one-offs as they are sold

So I guess I'm slightly confused..
You want to make something or have something made.. and then sell to the rest of NECO for a higher price and that profit goes to funding our events?

either ;) but I have the ability to machine embroider things - so would think I could get blank shirts (or whatever) and do them myself for less than we could order them thru another company for.
and yes... to have the profits go toward our chapter.
I already have the round cougar logo embroidery file and can do any kinda text - but think it would be cool to get the swirly NECO car logo made into an embroidery file to use too.

ok - so here's what I'm thinking...

I can order some shirts ahead of time and embroider either the cougar head or NECO car with or without the chapter or members name (or both, like on Claymore's sample).

I'd like to keep to one or two colors (suggestions?) and L & LX with a couple M & XXL.

Would most people be interested in polos, sweatshirts or t-shirts? seems like there are alot of t-shirts around right now, but they are quite a bit less money than polos or sweatshirts.

Haven't gotten as far as coming up with a price - kinda depends on what style & quality we go with. would most people rather get something inexpensive or spend a little more and better quality?

I was thinking about this tonight goldie (ive had a few drinks) but the logos look awesome. I think a good way to get all of neco inviolved or to make somewhat of a profit you could do FLOORMATS!! What sweet idea right? I know they make cougar head fronts, but there $70 at the dealer. I have a set of the fronts, but I want my rears to have cougar heads too. Can you do material that thick? maybe something to look into

Goldie

hum.... no - I wouldn't be able to do floormats :(

hey - thought you all may be interested...
so far, I have orders for 14 t-shirts/polos and 4 fleece blankets. Mostly to Motor Cities and Ontario people.
maybe we should have a "help melinda embroider" meet
