View Full Version : Hidden stash spot

Crisis13
03-31-2006, 02:50 PM
So does anyone have any ideas of a good stash spot to put things that you don't want anyone to find? Nothing in particular... :smoke-g:

But yeah, my first car was a ZX2 and I was able to like pull out the cup holders in the front and put stuff in there. Kinda like under the center console. The only place I can think of for my Cougar is like unzipping the back of the seat. But that isn't such a great place.

Any ideas? I don't really want my parents going through my car and finding my cigarettes. ;)

hmm.... tell your parents to keep the hell away from your car?
i dunno but if you are going to college and over 18, you shouldnt have to worry about your parents going thru your stuff...

Crisis13

I didn't really mean the hiding cigarettes from my parents thing. I was trying to be inconspicuous.

Think of it this way..

Cigarettes : Parents :: X : Cops

MOMO

in that case, make your overhead console swing down...
and you can stash stuff in there.

No kidding man....I used to work as a Corrections Officer in my home town and the guys that got out of jail during the days for work release....they had to be searched when they came back. My thought was if a dude wants to jam a smoke up his hind end....let him smoke it.

well on a serious note when i cut out a lil back piece of my glove compartment for my ps2 when i had it in there i was able to put stuff all the way behind the back of it like up in the dash and still close the glove box like normal plus it looked like the whole was supposed to be there.

I went and bought one of those magnet key boxes that you put underneith your car.. just attach it to metal.. and you have yourself a little compartment.. you get pulled over and car searched. most likely they will not search under the car. unless you have a kilo of blow in the dash..

also, they make pill containers that are fire, water, smell.... proof.

;)

just lookin' out for #1

I had a first aid kit in my old Jeep I used to keep... stuff... in. It was nylon with a plastic lining to keep water out... and smells in. Worked great, kept it under my seat.

Just to let you know. As far as hiding things from the cops.. I wouldnt do it.

If they suspect you have something in your car, they will search it. They will tear your car apart. Regardless of where you hide it, its not going to fool a drug sniffing dog.

Then your really busted and now your car is torn up as well.

vacuum sealer and above the overhead console/lights =)

oh and what afro said is true ... but it should keep you away from most cops ... i had my car searched the other day cause they thought my friend was selling who was in my car (dumb cops) ... searched my entire front, but didn't remove panels or look in the trunk (as they weren't searching for me, they were searching for him and knew he didn't go into my trunk)

If you have over a pound get a vacuum bagging machine (they are cheap) then store it under the rear seats *short term only* since the vacuum breaks down over time.

Also if you have a arm rest on your center console make a false bottom for the storage area under it and find a nice air tight container and you are set. I have used this one 5-6 years now and been pulled over 100+ times and searched dozens and never had any problems, just keep **** on top of it like comdoms and stuff the cops wont pay any attention to it.

Alright, this is the legal deal regarding searches (at lease in WA state). A police officer cannot search your vehicle without a warrant. If they can see, or strongly smell the precense of drugs, they can only search the immediate area around the drivers seat (ie. center console, under seat). Glove compartment locked? You are not required to open it without a warrant. They ask you to pop the trunk? Nope, dont have to do that either. Only with a warrant.
Now I got all of this info about a year back from a website regarding legality and legal rules of mary-J use and possession, but Ill try to find it again for you guys, just cause some may at one point or another find it helpful :)

That may be but in most states refusing to participate in a search is grounds for a warrant.

just dont carry ur stash wen ur traveling...period...or not enough to get in trouble:biggrin:

since we're kinda on the topic i know i've been warned by cops about carring a flask with me in arms reach wen im driving, it was empty and brand new so i was ok but he said if it was empty but used they could still book me for traveling with an open container of alcohol...just a heads up.....

but as a rule of thumb if u make a cops like hard they make things twice as hard for u....

Rear console, lift up stash whatever put it back down, hidden from where cops usually look.

Fett
04-19-2006, 11:54 PM
Like others have said....if you lift up HARD on the rear cupholder, you will break the little tabs that hold it down. That allows you to lift up the entire "console" that runs between the rear seats. It is perfect access and holds a decent amount of contraband.

That is where I used to put my baby Glock, it was hidden but accessable incase I needed to shuffle loose the random asshole driver.

Only thing that can save you with a drug sniffing dog is you container must be sealed GLASS...

e.g. a glass vile with a rubber sealed glass stopper

a vaccum sealed baggie with do NOTHING... remember dogs can smell like 100x better than we can... why do you think they can find drugs for free with their noses and we have to go buy them

I've had my car searched and that was a lovely 45 minute ordeal while they waited for the dog... of course by then, the cops had found what they wanted and just used the dog to look for anything else... but on the upside they found my chapstick!!

scrupul0us
06-16-2006, 08:25 AM
And just as an after thought... secret stashes dont work unless the stuff is already stashed when the cops get there... They WILL see you rummaging around... unless your rear window is painted black

Thats all fine and dandy, but chances are all that crap goes right out the window as soon as they pull you over. Any police officer can come up with a million different reasons why they pulled you over and another million in order to detain you.

If they suspect something isnt right, they are going to search you. They will hold you untill they have a warrent. Whats worse is that just by being a moron and carring drugs in your car, you may end up having your car impounded. Then... you'll be in jail and have no car.

I just get frustrated why I read stuff like this. Is it really that important that you have drugs on you all the time that you would risk getting caught and having your car torn apart?

scrupul0us
06-16-2006, 09:51 AM
@afroman: what it comes down is just being SMART when your getting or being STUPID

if your gunna get jon blazed in your ride:
-stash your grass before you get back onto the road

-roll your windows down to *help* air out the car
(although any cop behind you at that point will smell it)

-keep a can of pleasant air freshener in your car or oderless (even better)... i had one in my car when i worked construction so I wouldnt stink the joint up, but dont go crazy... a spray in each foot well, a shot to back seat and a slight shot on the headliner will cover you... go too crazy and they'll think your a stoned martha stewart fag

-VISINE your eyes before you get back on the road, although i prefer RotoV (great for 'drank a 12 pack last night' morning eyes)

-Lastly, don't smoke and drive unless your accustom to it or have to

back when i was a huge stoner I could do ANYTHING while being stoned... now that I dont smoke more than once a year, when i do smoke I get so baked from a blunt that I can't move let alone drive ;)

just my .o2

I've fooled the dogs many times. And I've been searched 4 times in the past 2 months and not once have they found anything. (Riding dirty the entire time...)

Alright, this is the legal deal regarding searches (at lease in WA state). A police officer cannot search your vehicle without a warrant.

This is no longer the case. A federal law was passed that allows search of a vehicle and all passengers (including Taxi's, Limo's, and Busses) without a warrant. State law < Federal law.

Ok, yea...
A good place to hide anything you might not want someone to find could be under the cupholder in the back like some people said.

I'm shocked no one has said this yet though. It could probably even work if you needed to hide something quick, but under the shift boot. It comes up pretty quick and you could toss something in there.

thats not gunna help you when the cop has you pulled over and he sees you trying to tear the dome light down... and how is it out of reach of the dogs? they get up on your seats they will smell that, esp when the cops have your doors open and the dome light is on and its warming that bud up all nice and stinky

shift boot is good if you arent visibly "riding dirty", but if your car smells or you look like your stoned, forget it... that thing wont save you from the dogs

Best advice... Keep the cops talking, engage them in thoughtful conversation, don't be a prick, and have a good time with them. It usually is enough to distract them so they don't really do a true search. With the number of times I've been pulled over I've only been caught carrying a few times -- most of the time they just have me dump it and send me on my way.

must have been nice... the only time i got caught was after an entire day of celebratory burning in my car... round 1:30am we got pulled over because "I didn't signal long enough while making a turn" and because "the exhaust was too loud"... i WAS driving a 92 pontiac sunbird, so go figure on that on... either way... had 2 friends in the car, each with our own peices and less than a gram (by then) on each of us... round 3am they let us go... we each got a stupid traffic ticket (didnt go into the paper) and i got a paper about my exhaust which the judge threw out b/c earlier that week i had JUST put a new muffler on my car...

as it would turn out... we were the guinea pigs for 2 new cops... the sheriff just let us go b/c we cooperated (after about 15 minutes of me denying how obviously baked i was) with them... they searched every inch of the car... they even found my chap stick that had mysteriously disappeared! oh well...
