..the car. This has been a very (very) hard thing for me to do but I'm afraid it's true. It's actually been in the making for the past month or so, I just now got the balls to come out and tell everyone. With my schedule the way it is now I can't get to any of my shows and have already breached my contracts. Plus it's really been gettin me down tryin to juggle the show car/daily driver bit..too much upkeep.
BuT... I may still come out on top. I plan to get a small truck, ranger or tacoma, cuz I'll need one to haul my toys I will be acquiring. Who would think along w/ a nice g/f would come some nice vehicle opportunites as well :) Her dad has an '87 supra (non-turbo) w/ only 46K on the engine. It's in excellent shape and will make hellova nice garage project car..gettin that for $1000. Her sister has twin sea-doo's, '03's I think. Her and her hubby took 'em out one summer, left them in the water overnight and they floated ashore. Got small cracks in the hulls and never been out since. Some fiberglassin, a new paint job and those babies are back!! Gettin those for $800 w/ the trailer. She also has a polaris 4-wheeler that we need to take out sometime. So....there ya go.

Next, if anybody is interested in a drift rear or my stock rims please let me know. I'm really not wanting to ship these. I will also be selling my custom dog box but not until the car is gone. Check out my FS listing (http://newcougar.org/forums/showthread.php?p=963298#post963298) for some other parts as well.

My car, I will probably trade it in but if anybody knows anyone that might be interested in it let me know. Haven't had a chance to wash and wax but I have interior pics of it here. (http://community.webshots.com/album/548912897WRlRLS)

Don't worry, I plan on stickin around. God Bless you all!!

whee... hitting the 'todays posts' button has brought me all the way over yonder today... or perhaps I sensed suffering and since I am the Canadian Jesus  I ...... bah, nevermind. heh!

My fellow Neco'er... I must stress this - I would never give up my car, or anything for a girlfriend.
For a wife...yes, for a fiancee', most likely. If kids are in the equasion... definitely.
But for a girlfriend... thats well, (without knowing your situation) I would say thats a little risky. What if things go bad and she leaves? You'd be out a girlfriend AND cougar :(

- I hope that shes 'the one' though, and you are sure about it! - sad to see another coug go... but best of luck with your future endevours! :)

In defense of Curtis...I know his girlfriend is not makeing him give up his car. He was under contract to have his car in so many shows and while he was also useing the Cougar as a daily driver it was the up-keep of keeping the car at show quality that was getting hard for him and also takeing time to go to the shows....the deal with him getting rid of the car is that with the cheap Supra that his girlfriends dad has it gives him a chance to sell the the Cougar and get a truck that will help pull the sea-doo's and and still get a low cost project car....correct me if any of this is wrong Sly;)

And now that this cat is out of the bag;) since I knew about this about a month ago. I have to say that Curtis has been a big help to me and what my car looks like now and I have bought many things off his Cougar as he turns it back to stock.....and don't worry Curtis if you ever get the urge to work on a Cougar again.....you know where mine is at:rofl:

Yea, the g/f doesn't actually want me to get rid of the cougar, it just made for a good title :) She loves riding around in it, gettin whistled at and stuff lol. It's totally my decision, and hasn't been an easy one. I almost cried the first night I was inside the garage, just lookin at it and realizing what I was about to do. It's like watchin your kid go into the surgery room  But I think it's best for me right now.

NOOOOOOOOO!! This makes me sad! :(

I know you've thought it through & everything, so I'm not going to waste time trying to convince you otherwise.

And who knows, if I don't get a decent trade in or nobody to buy it I may still hang on to it. But either way I'm gonna get to where I'd be more content w/ it being a daily driver.
