This years meet will be held May 27-28th. It's the only week that i have available before CF this year with my schedule at work since im in charge of the auditorium. I know its Memorial day weekend, but I do have a BBQ after all.
Like the previous years bring on the mods and we can get them done for the most part. If you have something big let me know cause youll have to show up early in the morning. I know theres at least 2 people that want to do suspension. Ill keep a running list here of the attendees and "scheduled" mods they want to do.
The house is very easy to get to and we have PLENTY of room for cars/tents. Hopefully this year we can hae a BIGGER fire  If you dont know the location is in Valparaiso, IN (NW Indiana). Ill post up an addy when the time gets closer
Depending on whats playing at the drive in we might hit that up, go mini golfing or go karting. Might even head up to the beach and take some pics at the Dunes. We might just sit around the fire, cook smores, and  and garage sized Xbox
Anyone that wants either a strut bar or an antenna can hand me $50 cash and $25 cash and ill even put them in for ya if you get one there. jsut let me know about the bars ahead of time so i can have it ready.
Address is
270n 250w
Valparaiso, IN 46385
Coming from the Chicago area you can take the toll road east or I-94 east to
I-65 south. to HWY 30 east. you will go through merriville(mall area) past a water park. At the 5th stop light past the waterpark (ill check that) turn left on Tower Road/250w(Ill put a sign out in the median). go through the stopsign and the house is the 3rd house on the left side. Ill have one of my cougars parked by the driveway.
Coming from MI I-94 west to HWY 49s (chesterton exit) to HWY 30 west(valparaiso) drive until you hit wiseway grocery store(10 min), then go 2 more lights and turn right (tower rd/250w) go through stop sign 3rd house on left
My cell is two one nine- seven nine eight -zero six five six if anyone gets lost
show up whenever you want but if you have big mods show up early and let me know. Ill be there hopefully between 7-8
Keep posts on topic or ill delete em

I might need it, but I was hoping I could have it done by then. It all depends on when BBOX gets that D2 kit.

Jason, put me down for a rear strut bar. I already have the holes drilled from when I had the ST200, so that eliminates some time. I planned to have help with installing new pads and rotors if that's ok. That's all I would like to have done.
Moraki
03-18-2006, 09:47 PM
Rotors and pads are easy shouldnt take much time. You actually gonna hang out and even i dont know drink maybe stay the nite?

Yes...
I planned on staying this time. I figured the pads and rotors wouldn't take too long, I don't have anything else extravagent to do anyway, the pads and rotors are much needed.

Have your rotors ever been off your car?.... stock rotors have a way of sticking after a while. might take a few minutes with a big hammer and or a torch and some ice.
Frosty
03-19-2006, 11:14 AM
Yeah, they've been replaced before. I'm pretty much just uprgrading to drilled/slotted rotors.
Moraki

Im not sure what time people are showing up this year? i showed up late my 1st time last year cause im too lazy to get out of bed:) specially considering i spent the night before finishing my brake over haul.... anyway.. If i remember right they were shooting for noon last year?
Which would mean if you wanted to get a jump on the headers we St Louis peeps would have to leave at 6 am about.... Headers would probably take pretty long, and take up one of Jasons garage bays, so we better bring stands, i have some if you dont. humm how much beer can we pack in a cougar, with headers, ypipe, stands, and a tent? Or is reagan bringing the "big top" again this year?
jaged
04-28-2006, 07:02 AM
dunno bout the big top, but headers is a bit much to do considering what can go wrong. Plus its a PITA to do. If you guys dont want to leave at the but crack of dawn you can come up fri night and crash at my place but ive got a thing after work on fri that wont get done till at least 9 at night
Moraki
04-28-2006, 11:31 PM
Ya i think Headers should be done in town... just waste too much time in driving and dont leave enough time to work.

Not liking those 2 choices? neither one looks that bad to me, but maybe not great.
Always cringe when the remake one of the classics. And animation is ok i guess.

well neither one is really car meet material, i might go since its cheaper to go there but i could care less about posiden

This looks to still be a good turnout though. Badazzcougar (David) hasn't stopped in lately so I wonder if he's still going to show up?

no, he needs to reinstall his SVT Radiator into my car.

Thought some one said SVT rad != ATX

05-26-2006, 11:36 AM
SVT rad on an ATX requires a standalone trans cooler, but otherwise I don't see why it wouldn't work.

you are correct... the atx radiator also handles the transmission... hence why I am also adding a fatty tranny cooler. I've cleared this with a number of people already.
worse case scenerio, I blow the tranny and need to do an mtx swap. so theres nothing bad that can come of this.

If anyone is interested in a SVT Radiator DIRT CHEAP let me know.. I took my car to a shop and they ummm.. got the car stuck on the arms of the lift and a flunkie didn't know what to do and pulled out a floor jack to lift the car up and didn't check what he was jacking up on... Long story short he bent a portion of the radiator... didn't tell me until I found it about 1 month later when I put the car on ramps to change the oil.. they pressure tested it and it does NOT leak at all but I made them replace it for me...
I'm willing to part with the spare one at an insane price and like I said, its been tested and I can guarentee it will not leak for you -- I just want to re-coop some of the money I spent on buying another one..
If interested, let me know and I'll bring it.
