Basically just what the title says...I have a deep rrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound when I turn to the left at almost any speed...basically 30 +.....also, it sends a light, but very distinct, vibration through the steering wheel. I got out and started yanking on the front wheels...both of them seem to have slight "play" to them. Could this be ball joints? On my old 1990 Probe GT, this was exactly the problem when I notice similar symptoms.
I just thought I'd ask on here before I jack it up and take off the wheels to get a better look. (Oh and I did check the lug nuts, just so nobody tells me the horror story of someone's lug nuts coming off, or something shearing off...)

Could be suspension parts. Could also be tires. Try rotating the tires and see if you notice a difference. While you have them off inspect your linkages for anything worn or with excessive play.

Same thing happened to my cougar like 2 months ago, it was my wheel bearings, when i would go strait it would be normal and when i turned it would make a funny noise. Luckily i had a warrenty on the cougar i got from ford and they replaced them.
