Alternator..ARRRRGGGG!!!

Well 25k miles since the last time the alternator failed....it went out again.

Nice to be stranded on the side of General Booth blvd at 5 am on the way home from a 14 hour shift..and of course it was only 24 degress outside.

I will attempt to replace it myself. Just looking at it..Putting the damn thing on the back side of the engine, makes me want to bomb the Ford design headquarters.

that sucks. i had mine die twice. so the third alternator was the charm. that and being paranoid and installing the voltmeter. tis good to keep an eye on it instead of waiting for it to stop working.

Amazingly it was much easier than I imagined..and had to take apart far less of the car than was described in some topics on this board..aparently alot of these owners like to do things the hard way.:rofl:

luckily mine was under warranty at the time so i didn't have to bust any knuckles to do so.

gaaaa mine just crapped out today.... i am broke and am looking for a cheep alternator.... where do i find one?!?! also i found one but dont kno if the 3.0 alternators will work... does ne one kno?
