lol I'm sorry Sami! You guys still going down there on Saturdays? I've been getting them off lately. As much as I'd love to mod the car... It's going to nickle and dime me to death soon. Wiper problems and weatherstripping :( Open up the trunk after who knows how long... Mold everywhere :(

Well...I took this week off from work and have been trying to get some more stuff done to the Cougar to get it ready for its swap, plus at the same time get the stock motor ready for its transplant into a Contour SVT that I'm getting within the next 2 weeks.
Today I gutted my interior. everything is out except the dash and headliner, oh and door panels. I figure when I make my subframe connectors, when I weld them to the car I won't burn the carpet and other things if the weld goes through the metal...
Plus I'm going totally different with the trunk set-up and I will have no back seat anymore! My basement is comepletely full of parts, and tomorrow I am picking up the SVT motor, tranny and other parts for the ContourSVT I am getting. I will be taking the Cams and UIM, LIM, injectors out of the SVT motor and putting them into the stock Cougar motor, then drop it back into the CSVT.( doing this cause the SVT motor in the CSVT has a spun rod bearing...and don't want to re-build the block yet. Maybe next year.)
Anyway, not much time to post as I'm swamped with work on the Cougar and stuff.
What is everyone else doing?

Hey greg, if you want to sell that blown svt motor in a month or two, i'd like to take it off your hands!
Thats awesome that your getting a csvt. No more driving that silly like honda of yours!!!
Sami I can't wait for the engine to come in. That is going to be a fun (and easy) swap to do. Yay for twin turbo setup!

HAHAHA!!! You know there is NO chance I'm selling that SVT motor!
However...I do now have an SVT block and heads without cams, but the block needs new bearings, rod + crankshaft ones just in case...perfect for forged internals!!;)
and I have an extra Tranny from the CSVT as well...PM me if anyone is interested...

Ya Winter definitly needs be over-it has been very very bad for the cougar-i got hit 4 times by stupid people sliding in the snow...(People that live in New England should be required to learn how to drive in the snow) Plus i just got it back from the dealership-i had to replace the o2 sensor, the throttle body, sway bar linkage and now it needs a tune up and front pads and rotors and new rear brakes....I WANT SPRING TO COME so its not so damn cold when i work on the coug!-And my brand new paint job-HA my front bumper mind as well be white with all the paint chips it has taken out of it....the poor coug...it has been a very rough few months-but i really do miss all the meets-cant wait for nice weather so i can see you all again :)
